Buckeyes Play Midweeks Against Eastern Michigan and Youngstown State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team (23-22) begins a five-game home stand with midweek games against Eastern Michigan (13-32) and Youngstown State (11-35).

- Fans can purchase tickets online at ticketmaster.com or on the TicketMaster app. Tickets can also be purchased at the ticket office at the Schottenstein Center or at Bill Davis Stadium on gameday. The ticket office will open 90 minutes prior to the start of each game. Students can get in for free with their BuckID.
- Free parking will be available in the lots surrounding Bill Davis Stadium.
- The Buckeyes went 1-2 against Illinois in Champaign over the weekend.
- Ohio State opened the series with a 7-5 upset victory, handing the Illini just their second loss at home and first since March.
- Henry Kaczmar, Joseph Mershon, Mitchell Okuley and Ryan Miller led the Buckeyes with two hits each. Mershon and Miller each had two RBIs.
- Zach Brown (4-0) earned the win. In 1.1 innings pitched, he struck out one and gave up one run on one hit.
- The Illini took game two, 10-5.
- Tyler Pettorini hit two home runs in the game. It was his second two-homer game of the week; he also homered twice in a midweek win against Akron. He led the team in RBIs with four.
- Gavin Bruni (3-3) took the loss. He struck out four and gave up four runs on three hits in 2.2 innings pitched.
- The Buckeyes fell to Illinois, 12-2, in eight innings in the series finale on Sunday.
- Isaac Cadena and Kaczmar led the Buckeyes with two hits each and Cadena batted in both runs.
- Gavin DeVooght (2-2) took the loss on the mound. He struck out two and allowed seven runs on seven hits in 5.0 innings tossed.
- Henry Kaczmar is batting a team-best .337 and leads the Buckeyes in hits (61) and runs scored (45). He has batted in 32 runs.
- Tyler Pettorini in hitting .328 and has a team-high 43 RBIs and nine home runs. He has 58 total hits on the season, which is second on the team.
- Joseph Mershon is also batting over .300 with a .308 average. He has 44 hits and 23 RBIs and leads the Buckeyes with 14 stolen bases.
- Landon Beidelschies (4-7) leads the pitching staff in strikeouts with 71 in 65.2 innings pitched. He has an ERA of 4.66.
- Gavi n Bruni (3-3) has fanned 51 in 48.2 innings pitched and has a .10 ERA.
- Justin Eckhardt (0-2) leads the staff in saves with six. He has struck out 14 in 18.0 innings tossed and has an ERA of 3.50.

- Former Buckeye Drew Jones (0-2) has two saves on the season. He has struck out eight in 10.0 innings pitched and has a 15.30 ERA.
- Infielder Trey Law is batting a team-best .353. He leads the Penguins in hits with 66 and in runs scored with 35.
- Catcher Ian Francis leads the team in RBIs with 30.

- Former Buckeye Jacob Gehring (4-5) leads the pitching staff with 47 strikeouts in 61.1 innings pitched. He has an ERA of 7.48.
- Chris Domke (2-1) has four saves. He has struck out 18 in 17.0 innings pitched and has a 7.42 ERA.
- Ohio State hosts its final home games of the regular season this Friday-Sunday against Northwestern.
