- As a senior at Walsh Jesuit, batted .357 with 35 hits, including five homeruns, 29 RBIs, 29 runs scored and 13 stolen bases
- Was one of the tri-MVPs of his senior team that went 25-6 overall and advanced to the Division I regional finals
- Earned Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Ohio honors as a senior
- Also earned All-Ohio honors following his junior season after batting .568 with 54 hits, including four homeruns and a single-season school record 18 doubles, 46 runs scored, 42 RBIs and nine stolen bases
- His junior team advanced to the state semifinals after winning sectional, district and regional titles
