THREE BUCKEYES SELECTED IN 2023 MLB DRAFT
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three Buckeyes were selected in the 2023 MLB Draft. Southpaw Isaiah Coupet was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the fourth round with the 109th overall pick, pitcher Josh Timmerman went to the Milwaukee Brewers in the 16th round with the 482nd pick and outfielder Kade Kern was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 17th round with pick number 519.
FOUR BUCKEYES SELECTED IN 2022 MLB DRAFT
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Four members of the Ohio State baseball team were selected in the 2022 MLB Draft this week. In addition to TJ Brock (Toronto) selected in the sixth round and Zach Dezenzo (Houston) in the 12th round, Nate Karaffa (Philadelphia) and Ethan Hammerberg (Chicago) were both selected in the final round on Tuesday.
THREE BUCKEYE PITCHERS TAKEN IN 2021 DRAFT
Three Ohio State baseball had a dream realized as they heard their names called as part of the 2021 MLB Draft. Seth Lonsway went in the sixth round to the San Francisco Giants and Garrett Burhenn was selected in the ninth round by the Detroit Tigers. On day three, Jack Neely was selected by the New York Yankees in the 11th round.
DILLON DINGLER TAKEN IN SECOND ROUND IN 2020
Junior Dillon Dingler was selected by the Detroit Tigers with the first pick of the second round of the 2020 Major League Baseball Draft. The North Canton, Ohio, native who was taken with the 38th overall pick, is the 107th Buckeye taken in the history of the Major League Baseball Draft and the 12th taken in the first or second round.
