When the Woody Hayes Athletic Center was dedicated in 1987, it was one of the most extensive indoor facilities of its kind. Now, nearly 20 years later, a $19.5 million facelift is complete. Recruits pass through the lobby en route to a second-story players’ lounge – “Sloopy’s Hangout” – which overlooks the strength training area. The centerpiece of the lobby is a lighted “championship wall” celebrating Ohio State’s national championship teams.
