Inside The Ohio State Virtual Venueâ„¢

What is the Seat Selection Process?
The seat selection process gives season ticket holders the opportunity to select their seating based on their overall giving to the University. This process aims to integrate athletics giving, university giving, and continuous years of season ticket purchases for an equitable priority order by which season tickets will be allocated. Each account holder will be assigned an appointment time (seat selection window) based upon season ticket holder qualification and priority point ranking as shown below.
Notes:
* Suites, Club seats and Loges are not subject to the seat selection process.

SEAT SELECTION ORDER
Faculty/Staff Season Ticket Holders
March 1, 2025 – April 11, 2025
* Faculty/Staff sections will be available only to Faculty/Staff members.
* This group will select seats in specific Faculty/Staff sections, each season, with selection windows based on the Faculty/Staff priority point system as established by Athletic Council.
* Only seats received as the benefit of being a Faculty/Staff member can be selected in the Faculty/Staff sections.

Public Season Ticket Holders

Seat locations selected for the 2025 season will be guaranteed through the 2028 season as long as qualifying memberships and tickets are paid annually by the published deadline
- If you do not choose seats by the end of the seat selection process, your seats will be assigned by the Athletics Ticket Office at the end of the process from the seats that remain available. You will not receive the same seats as last year if you do not select and may receive a seat location that is less desirable than the seats that would be available during your window.
- Seat selection windows are determined based upon giving level and then priority points as of March 3, 2025. Accounts with identical point totals will be assigned randomly within the selection windows corresponding to their point total.

FAQS
What is my priority point ranking and how can I improve my ranking?

If I am a renewing season ticket holder and I like my current seats, do I have to select new seats?
- As the 2025 season is a full re-seat year, all non-premium season ticket holders MUST choose their seat locations as a part of the 2025 Seat Selection Process. Seat locations selected for the 2025 season will be guaranteed through the 2028 season as long as qualifying memberships and tickets are paid annually by the published deadline. In subsequent (non re-seat) seasons, if you would like to review available inventory and potentially select a different seat location/zone, you will have the opportunity to indicate that request during your online renewal, and participate in the voluntary seat selection each spring. Faculty/staff members must select their seats each season.
- If you do not choose seats by the end of the seat selection process, your seats will be assigned by the Athletics Ticket Office at the end of the process from the seats that remain available. You will not receive the same seats as last year if you do not select and may receive a seat location that is less desirable than the seats that would be available during your window
If I am a new season ticket holder, when will I select my seats?
- Seat selection windows are determined based upon giving level and then priority points as of March 3, 2025. Accounts with identical point totals will be assigned randomly within the selection windows corresponding to their point total.
How will I be notified about my seat selection window?
Season ticket holders will be sent seat selection window information via email. In order to make sure you receive all important renewal and seat selection information, please make sure your email address is kept up to date with the Athletics Ticket Office. This information will include step-by-step instructions for using the online site to select seats.
Can I still have my Public seats next to other season tickets I am eligible to purchase?
Yes. Full season ticket holders who wish to have their public seats assigned next to other season tickets for which they qualify (i.e. Faculty/Staff, Varsity O Football) will be able to indicate that choice during the online season ticket renewal process and have two options:
- Select all seats together based on your public priority points, but only in the public season ticket sections.
- Select your public seats based on your public priority points (in the public season ticket sections) and other seats during the selection window for your other designated group (in those designated sections).
Can I select my public season tickets in the Faculty/Staff or Varsity O Football sections?
No. The Faculty/Staff and Varsity O Football sections are limited only to tickets qualified as a benefit of being a member of those designated groups. Selecting public seats and Faculty/Staff/Varsity O seats together may only be done in the public season ticket sections, based on your public priority points.
Are B-Box or D-Box seats able to be selected during the seat selection process?
When your selection window opens, you will have the opportunity to pick these seats, depending on available inventory.
If I have club seats or a loge, are they subject to the seat selection process?
No. Each club seat holder and loge box holder will retain their contracted seats long as you continue to fulfill the obligations in your contract.
How does the seat selection process take place?
- Each season ticket account has been assigned a specific date and time when their seat selection window opens based on their giving level and priority point standing for the 2025 season
- Selection windows open every 15 minutes and may include up to 20 accounts per window
- While selection windows will begin only during business hours, the online seat selection system will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until your window closes
- You may select any available seats during your selection window and the difference in ticket price and per seat contribution (if any) will be reflected as a charge or a refund to the credit/debit card originally used at purchase. If you choose seats in a lower price zone than originally purchased, please allow 7-10 business days for the refund to appear on your card.
- If you wish to combine multiple seat blocks within your account, please select all seat blocks on the "Select Seat Blocks" page before viewing the Virtual Venue
- If you wish to add additional season tickets (up to 2) at the same time you select a new seat location, click the + button in the upper left hand corner of the Virtual Venue page. Note: only public season ticket holders may add additional tickets during this process
- All seats you select to move do not have to be selected within the same seat block, but you cannot leave a single seat within a row or a seat block when selecting seats
- If you wish to sit with a group, you will need to coordinate your seat selection with the group member(s) that has the lowest priority and has therefore been assigned the last seat selection window among group members. Each member of the group will be able to log in during that time and coordinate their seat selection for the group.
- If you purchased seat cushions during the initial ordering period, those will be installed on the seats you select as a part of this process. Please Note: Seat cushion orders are not visible in your Ohio State Buckeyes ticket account.
Can I see available seats before my selection window opens?
Yes. A Preview Mode of the Ohio State Football Virtual Venueâ„¢ is available by logging into your Ohio State Buckeyes Account once all the selection windows have been assigned. You will be able to see actual seating availability prior to your seat selection window opening.
- Seats available in preview mode may not still be available when your window opens, but will give you a general idea of seat availability.
- If you are in Preview Mode when your window opens, you'll need to click on the "Seat Selection" option on the top menu and refresh the process before adding seats to your cart
Why can't I leave a single seat when making my selection?
The Virtual Venue software contains a built-in feature which does not allow for single seats to be left after a selection has been made. If you are having issues with selecting seats because of a single seat remaining, please contact the Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-GO-BUCKS (462-8257) for assistance.
What if I miss my appointment time?
Your assigned seat selection window reflects the earliest time you may log in to select seats. Those who miss their scheduled appointment time may log in to self-select seats at any time after their appointment time has started. Please keep in mind that if you miss your scheduled appointment time, other season ticket holders may be choosing seats at their assigned times which will affect seating availability.
What if I want to sit with a group of people?
With the online seat selection process, each individual will be given an appointment time for seating based on their respective priority point ranking. Group seating will be adjusted to allow for conference, state, and local officials to clarify physical distancing guidelines to provide the safest environment for fans while also maximizing allowable attendance.
How do I obtain handicap accessible seats or seats needed because of mobility issues?
Full season ticket holders will be asked about special seating needs during the season ticket renewal process. All individuals requesting disability seating also will be required to submit a Disability Needs Form indicating their particular need. Individuals requiring seating in wheelchair accessible rows or specific seating to meet other disability needs, AND who have submitted a Disability Needs Form, will see available accessible seating inventory upon logging into their Ohio State Buckeyes account. Once your Disability Needs Form has been received, your account will be properly noted to indicate that you qualify to select accessible seating.
