
Dingler Named MLB All-Star

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Former Ohio State baseball player, and current Detroit Tigers catcher, Dillon Dingler has been selected as an MLB All-Star.
Dingler is the fourth Buckeye all-time to be named an MLB All-Star and the first since Nick Swisher in 2010. He is the first Tigers' catcher since 2011 to be selected for the All-Star Game.
Dingler is having a phenomenal season for the Tigers and has been touted as one of the best catchers in the American League. He is batting .264 with 84 hits, 19 home runs and 60 RBIs.
The MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
