Baseball Plays Midweek Games Against Wright State, Kent State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team (17-15) resumes non-conference play with midweek matchups against Wright State (20-15) and Kent State (16-17). The Buckeyes host the Raiders on Tuesday, April 16 at 6:00 p.m. and head to Kent to take on the Golden Flashes Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

- Fans can purchase tickets online at ticketmaster.com or on the TicketMaster app. Tickets can also be purchased at the ticket office at the Schottenstein Center or at Bill Davis Stadium on gameday. The ticket office will open 90 minutes prior to the start of each game. Students can get in for free with their BuckID.
- Free parking will be available in the lots surrounding Bill Davis Stadium.
- The Buckeyes won two out of three games against preseason favorite Iowa over the weekend to improve to 5-4 in conference play.
- Ohio State took game one over the Hawkeyes, 8-5. Joseph Mershon led the Buckeyes with four hits and three stolen bases.
- Landon Beidelschies (4-5) earned the game one win on the mound, fanning seven and giving up four runs on four hits in 5.2 innings pitched.
- Iowa won game two, 3-2, to even the series. Tyler Pettorini had a team-high two hits.
- Gavin Bruni (2-2) took the loss. He struck out six and allowed two runs on three hits in 5.0 innings tossed.
- Buoyed by four home runs, the Buckeyes dominated the Hawkeyes in the rubber game, defeating them 11-1. Mitchell Okuley, Ryan Miller, Trey Lipsey and Josh Stevenson each hit one home run. Stevenson had a season-high four RBIs.
- Jacob Morin (3-0) was the winning pitcher. He struck out one and gave up one hit in 2.0 scoreless innings.
- Henry Kaczmar leads the Buckeyes at the plate, batting a team-best .315. He leads Ohio State in hits with 40 and in runs scored with 31.
- Matthew Graveline is batting .311 with 38 hits and 15 RBIs.
- Tyler Pettorini also has 38 hits. He is batting .309 and has driven in 29 runs.
- Mitchell Okuley leads the Buckeyes in RBIs with 32. He is batting .302 with 35 hits.
- Trey Lipsey leads the team in home run with five. Pettorini, Okuley, Nick Giamarusti and Josh Stevenson each have four homers.
