PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Ohio State baseball team (2-2) closes out its trip to Arizona with a four-game series at Arizona State Thursday, Feb. 22-Sunday, Feb. 25.

- The Buckeyes fell to Grand Canyon, 10-3, on Tuesday, Feb. 20. The Antelopes took a 3-0 lead and the Buckeyes came back to tie the game, 3-3, after a two-RBI single from Mitchell Okuley and a sacrifice fly from Hunter Rosson, but Grand Canyon compiled 18 hits to get back ahead and come away with the victory.
- Okuley, Rosson, Matthew Graveline, Henry Kaczmar and Joseph Mershon each had one hit.
- Okuley led the team in RBIs with two.
- Chase Herrell started on the mound, allowing one run on three hits in a 3.0-inning no-decision.
- Gavin DeVooght took the loss, giving up one run on three hits in 1.0 inning pitched.
- The Buckeyes went 2-1 at the MLB Desert Invitational to open the 2024 season. Ohio State fell to Boston College, 9-2, in the opening game of the tournament before bouncing back to defeat BYU, 7-2, and USC, 5-2.
- Landon Beidelschies (0-1) fanned a career-high six batters in the Buckeyes' Opening Day matchup with the Boston College Eagles.

- The Buckeyes head to Nevada for the inaugural Las Vegas Baseball College Classic March 1-3. Ohio State will play games against Cal, Pitt and Oklahoma.
