Shaun Swearingen
- Position:
- Assistant AD
Shaun Swearingen has worked in student-athlete academic support since 2011 working with a variety of sports programs. His primary goal and responsibility is to advocate for our students as they pursue a balanced college experience. As the college landscape changes, there are added stressors and challenges that these student-athletes face. Shaun enjoys helping them problem solve and think critically about how to make the best decisions for their future. Prior to 2011, he served as an Assistant Baseball coach at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. While coaching, Shaun also served as our recruiting coordinator and taught classes in their Human Performance department. While coaching, he also earned my Masters degree in Sport Management from Bowling Green State University. Swearingen is a graduate of the College of Wooster, where he earned my Bachelors degree in Communication, with a minor in Physical Education in 2007. During his career, Swearingen was a member of the Fighting Scots Football and Baseball program for all four years. Shaun and his wife, Kelly, met at Wooster and have been married since 2010. They now reside in Worthington Ohio, with their three kids, Damon, Weston, and Audrey.
