Big Ten Tournament History
- This will be the first Big Ten Tournament appearance under head coach Jusin Haire.
- The Buckeyes are the No. 6 seed, which is the team's highest seed since securing the No. 4 seed in 2016.
- Ohio State's last appearance in the Big Ten Tournament was in 2024. The No. 7 Buckeyes defeated No. 2 Nebraska, 15-2, in seven innings, before falling to No. 3 Indiana, 14-7, and the Cornhuskers, 12-5, in an elimination game.
- The Buckeyes have competed in 32 Big Ten Tournaments in program history and have won 10 Big Ten Tournament titles (1991, 94, 95, 97, 2002, 03, 05, 07, 16, 19).
- The Buckeyes have an overall record 65-49 at the tournament.
- The Buckeyes closed out the regular season with a three-game sweep of Michigan in Ann Arbor. It was the first series win for Ohio State against the Wolverines on the road since 1999, and the first sweep of Michigan in Ann Arbor since 1994.
- The Buckeyes downed the Wolverines in seven innings, 13-2, in the opening game of the series. Dane Harvey and Noah Furcht each hit two home runs. Harvey's second home run was his 19th of the season, which ties the single season program record, and both of Furcht's long balls came in the same inning. It is the third time this season Harvey hit two home runs in a game and second time Furcht hit two home runs in a game. Pierce Herrenbruck (6-3) earned the win on the mound. He fanned four and allowed two runs on five hits in 6.0 innings pitched.
- The Buckeyes secured the series win with a 7-3 victory in game two. Henry Kaczmar hit his 24th double of the season; he is one short of tying the Ohio State single season record. Gavin Kuzniewski (6-2) earned the win on the mound. He struck out three and gave up three runs on four hits in 6.0 innings pitched. Luke Carrell earned the save.
- Ohio State completed the series sweep with an 8-1 win in Saturday's series finale. Chris Domke (6-6) earned the win and became the first Ohio State pitcher since 2021 to throw a 9.0-inning complete game. Domke fanned six and allowed one run on just three hits. Domke is the first Ohio State pitcher to throw a 9.0-inning complete game in five years,
- Harvey is batting a team-best 339. He leads the Buckeyes with 19 home runs and 56 RBIs. He has 56 hits, which includes 12 doubles. He has a team-leading .758 slugging percentage and 1.188 OPS.
- Kaczmar leads the Buckeyes with 68 hits, 24 doubles and 48 runs scored. He has batted in 45 runs and is 7-for-8 in stolen bases. Kaczmar is batting .319.
- Mason Eckelman is hitting .308 and has 56 hits, 14 doubles, four triples, eight home runs and 46 RBIs.
- Lee Ellis leads the Buckeyes in stolen bases; he has swiped 16 bags on 18 attempts.
- Three Buckeyes this season have hit double-digit home runs; Harvey (19), Kaczmar (11) and Furcht (11). It is the first time the Buckeyes have had three players hit double-digit long balls since the 2019 season.
- On the mound, Kuzniewski (6-2) leads the pitching staff with 63 strikeouts in 75.1 innings pitched. He has a 4.90 ERA.
- Domke (6-6) has fanned 59 in 73.0 innings tossed. He has pitched two complete games and has a 5.55 ERA.
- Herrenbruck (6-3) has notched 55 strikeouts in 73.1 innings, and he leads the pitching staff with a 4.05 ERA.
- Ryan Zamora (2-0) has three saves on the season. He has struck out 35 in 34.1 innings tossed.
- Harvey's .758 slugging percentage leads the conference and his 1.188 OPS is second. His 19 home runs are third-most in the Big Ten and his 56 RBIs are fifth-most.
- Kaczmar leads the conference with 24 doubles.
- Eckelman and Ellis are tied for second in the conference in triples with four each.
- Ohio State's 13 triples are tied for fourth-most and its 102 doubles are seventh-most. The teams' 77 home runs are fifth-most.
- With a win on Tuesday, the Buckeyes would play on Wednesday, May 20 at 10 p.m. ET against the winner of the game between No. 7 Michigan and No. 10 Rutgers. With a loss, Ohio State would play at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday against the loser of the game between the Wolverines and Scarlet Knights.
