
Three-Game Series at Rutgers Next Up for Buckeye Baseball

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team (20-19, 9-9 Big Ten) heads to Piscataway, N.J. for a three-game series with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (20-21, 7-11 Big Ten) this weekend. Due to inclement weather on Saturday, the teams' will play a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 24 and Sunday's game has been moved up to a noon start.

- The Buckeyes earned a 19-7 run-rule win over Akron at Bill Davis Stadium on Tuesday night. Grant Mangrum hit the walk-off three-run home run that secured the victory for Ohio State.
- Dane Harvey hit a grand slam in the game, marking his sixth straight game with a home run. He led the team with six RBIs, which tied his career-high.
- Lee Ellis and Mason Eckelman led the Buckeyes with three hits each. Two of Ellis' hits were triples.
- Maddix Simpson hit two home runs. It was the first two-home run game of his career.

- Lee Ellis leads the Buckeyes in stolen bases; he has swiped 14 bags on 16 attempts.
- On the mound, Gavin Kuzniewski (2-2) leads the pitching staff with 47 strikeouts in 49.1 innings pitched.
