COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track & field team is set to begin the 2024 season at the Rod McCravy Memorial, hosted by the University of Kentucky, on Friday and Saturday. The meet will be held at the Norton Sports & Learning Center in Louisville. Fans are instructed to park in Lot A for $5 each day.
On Friday, field events are scheduled to start at noon with the high jump, while track events will start with the women's 60m prelims at 3 p.m. On Saturday, the men's pole vault and women's shot put will start at 11 a.m., while track events will begin at noon with the women's 60m semifinals.
- Leah Bertrand represented Trinidad & Tobago at the World Athletics Championships this past summer in Budapest, Hungary. She competed in the 100m and the 4x100m relay with the relay finishing 10th overall.
- The Buckeye women had eight named USTFCCCA All-Americans at the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships. Adelaide Aquilla (shot put) and the 4x400m relay squad (Alyssa Marsh, Jaydan Wood, Chanler Robinson and Bryannia Murphy) were named to the first team. Amaya Ugarte (high jump) and Jaimie Robinson (triple jump) earned a spot on the second team and Marcia Sey (60mH) received an honorable mention.
- At the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships, the Buckeye men had a trio earn All-American status. Clarence Foote-Talley (triple jump) earned a spot on the All-American First Team. Hayden Tobias (shot put) and Shaun Miller Jr. (high jump) landed on the All-American Second Team.
- The OSU women finished second at the 2023 Big Ten Indoor Championships. Ugarte won the Big Ten Championship in the high jump, while Abbey Kuhn, Marsh, Murphy, C. Robinson, J. Robinson and Wood were all named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
- The OSU men finished fifth at the 2023 Big Ten Indoor Championships. Foote-Talley won the Big Ten Championship in the triple jump, while Antonio Hanson, Miller Jr. and Tobias were named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.
