Buckeye Men Claim Two Third-Place Finishes at NCAA Championships

Ohio State finished third in the men’s 110m hurdles and 4x100m relay.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competed at the third day of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships today in Eugene, Ore.
Competing in the men's 4x100m relay final, Dominic Calhoun, Kyler Brown, Nazzio John and Braxton Brann crossed the line in 38.44 to finish in third place behind Tennessee and LSU. The time was good for an Ohio State program record, surpassing the 38.64 mark that the foursome had set in the semifinal earlier this week.
Brann also claimed a third-place finish and school record in the men's 110m hurdles final, registering a time of 13.07. The junior has now set the program record in the event in four consecutive races, dating back to the start of the NCAA East First Round.
The Buckeyes earned 12 points as a result of the two third-place finishes. It is the best finish for the Ohio State men at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships since 2021.
Morgan Hallett and Janela Spencer will be in action on Saturday, representing Ohio State in the women's discus and 100m hurdles finals.

- Women's 4x100m Relay: Bobbi Olive, Laila Hackett, Spencer and Campbell crossed the line in 43.85.

- Men's 110m Hurdles: Brann qualified for the final by breaking the school record with a time of 13.17.
- Men's 200m: John recorded a 20.40 in the first heat of the semifinal.
- Men's 4x100m Relay: John, Calhoun, Brown and Brann turned in a school record 38.64 and earned an automatic qualification into Friday's final.
- Men's 4x400m Relay: Noah Carmichael, Mason Louis, Edidiong Udo and Damon Frabotta were disqualified after the conclusion of the event.
