Redshirt sophomore Matt "Rocky" Carpenter knocked his first collegiate hit in the bottom of the seventh inning in the 12-3 win over Youngstown State. A third-year member of the program and native of Aurora, Ohio, the OSU infielder had some help from Noah "Apollo" McGowan to get to hit No 1.
