COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State baseball team will take a break from conference play this weekend, hosting UNLV in a three-game non-conference series Friday-Sunday Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. All three games will be streamed on BTN Plus ($) and will be broadcasted on AM 1460 ESPN.
Game one vs. the Rebels is at 6:35 p.m. Friday followed by game two at 3:05 p.m. ET Saturday. The series finale will begin at 12:05 p.m. ET Sunday.
The Buckeyes are 22-7 overall and 7-2 in Big Ten play and have won five straight games, including three contests in walk-off fashion. The Rebels are 13-18 overall and snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 7-6 home win over fifth-ranked Arizona State on Tuesday.

Troy Montgomery batted .462 (6-for-13) with two doubles, two triples, one RBI and six runs scored and stolen bases, while Connor Sabanosh had six RBI in the series, including a career-high four in game one. · Montgomery and Troy Kuhn each had walk-off doubles in games two and three vs. the `Lions. · Pat Porter leads the team in batting average (.321), hits (34), triples (4), RBI (28) and slugging percentage (.585), while Ronnie Dawson has a team-best six home runs. Montgomery has swiped a season-high 17 stolen bases. · Ohio State is hitting .271 as a team and has collected 88 extra base hits with 20 homers. The OSU pitching staff has combined for a 2.76 ERA, which is fourth-best in the Big Ten.
BUCKEYES ON BTN Ohio State will next host No. 5 Louisville at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday at Nick Swisher Field at Bill Davis Stadium. The contest will be live on Big Ten Network with postgame fireworks to follow the contest vs. the Cardinals.
SCOUTING UNLV · UNLV is 13-18 overall and are coming off a 7-6 win over fifth-ranked Arizona State last Tuesday at home in Las Vegas. It was the Rebels first victory over a top-five team since 2003 and also ended a seven-game losing streak. · The Rebels are hitting .270 as a team with 10 home runs and 35 stolen bases, while the pitching staff has collected a team ERA of 4.73 with 223 strikeouts and 95 walks in 277.2 innings pitched. · Freshman Payton Squier is hitting .315 and leads the team with 40 hits, while classmate Erik VanMeetren has notched a team-best four home runs and is hitting .301 on the year with 17 RBI. · UNLV is tied for the most outfield assists in the country with 14. Armstrong has recorded seven, which is tied for the most in the country. · Right-hander Ben Wright will be making his first start of the season Friday night vs. the Buckeyes, posting an 0-1 mark with a 2.00 ERA in 18.0 innings of work out of the bullpen.
