Buckeyes Alive in the Hive at Ohio Stadium – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Saturday was a day for celebrating the student-athletes who proudly wear the Scarlet and Gray for the Ohio State Buckeyes. At halftime of the Ohio State/Indiana football game, hundreds of young men and women who represent Ohio State in intercollegiate competition, in the classroom and in the community were honored in front of more than 100,000 fans at Ohio Stadium.
These individuals are adding to a rich tradition of talented people who have thrilled fans with their athletic pursuits and then gone on to even greater, more remarkable feats as productive citizens in society. Last year they helped Ohio State teams claim eight conference titles and 28 of their teams advanced to post-season play. In the classroom they excelled: a record 503 were honored as OSU Scholar-Athletes and Buckeyes led the Big Ten in Academic All-Big Ten honorees (347) and in Big Ten Distinguished Scholars (67). And away from campus, they volunteered more than 6,800 service hours to more than 64 local organizations. Way to Go, Bucks!
