ANN ARBOR, Mich. Ohio State and Indiana will meet in a 12:05 p.m. Big Ten tournament game Thursday at Ray Fisher Stadium. The winner will advance to play a 12:05 p.m. game Friday. The loser’s season will come to an end.
The Buckeyes, seeded No. 5 for the tournament, were defeated, 3-2, by No. 4 Illinois Wednesday while No. 6 seed Indiana was defeated by No. 3 Penn State, 6-1.
Ohio State will start Jake Hale (5-3, 4.50 ERA) Thursday against the Hoosiers. Indiana will counter with left-hander Matt Bashore (7-3, 3.16 ERA). Ohio State will be the home team.
In other games Thursday: Penn State and No. 2 Purdue will play at 3:35 p.m. and Illinois meets No. 1 Michigan at 7:05 p.m.
