Baseball: Seven Appearances on Big Ten Network in 08 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio The Big Ten Conference and Big Ten Network released the 2008 Big Ten Network baseball broadcast schedule today and Ohio State will be seen a conference-high seven times during the upcoming regular season. Included in the schedule of televised games are five broadcasts from Bill Davis Stadium starting with the network’s inaugural baseball broadcast: March 28 against Penn State.
Conference-wide, the Big Ten Network (BTN) will nationally televise 25 regular season baseball games and the Big Ten Tournament championship game, all in high-definition.
“The Big Ten Network is thrilled to bring an unprecedented amount of Big Ten baseball to a national audience,” network president Mark Silverman said. “Fans should really enjoy that all these games will be in stunning HD.”
In addition to the first game of the Penn State series being aired, BTN will air the Saturday doubleheader with the Nittany Lions starting at 1 p.m. (March 29). Other BTN broadcasts from Bill Davis Stadium include both games of the April 5 doubleheader against Minnesota. Start time for game one is 1:05 p.m. with game two tentatively schedule to air 30 minutes following the end of the first game.
On the road, both games of Ohio State’s doubleheader April 26 against Northwestern will be aired by BTN. Game one first pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
