Friday Night Game Between Ohio State/Minnesota Postponed – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Steady rain has forced the postponement of Friday night’s baseball game between Ohio State and Minnesota at Bill Davis Stadium.
The two teams will play Saturday’s scheduled doubleheader at 4:05 p.m. and will make up Friday’s game in a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. The Buckeyes and Gophers were scheduled to play nine-inning games on both Friday and Sunday, but will now play four seven-inning games.
Minnesota (28-22 overall and 16-8 in the Big Ten) leads Ohio State (31-16-1 and 16-9) by percentage points in the race for the conference regular season championship. The Gophers only need to take two games to win the regular season, while Ohio State needs victories in three of the four games.
“Obviously, we’re disappointed we could not play tonight,” said OSU coach Bob Todd. “You can only worry about the things you can control. We can’t control Mother Nature.”
