Baseball Ranked in the Top 25 – Ohio State Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – %^$Off to its best start since 1994 and currently on a 13-game winning streak, the Ohio State baseball team is ranked No. 24 in the nation in the latest Collegiate Baseball Top 25 poll.%^$
%^$”This team is playing great baseball,” head coach Bob Todd said. “We’ve put together a good stretch of wins and have beaten some quality opponents. We were really tested in Florida and this team responded to every challenge.”%^$
%^$The 16-4 start is Ohio State’s best since 1994 when the program opened the season 17-3. That year, the Buckeyes finished with the best record in the nation at 49-9. The current 13-game winning streak is OSU’s best since 1999. That year, the team went on a school record 21-game binge and finished one win away from a berth in the College World Series.%^$
%^$On Wednesday, the team plays host to Birmingham Southern at Bill Davis Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
