PLAYERS OF THE WEEK FOR 3/29 Aron Amundson, Sr., Minnesota Amundson hit .600 on the week with 10 RBIs, four doubles and a triple and a homerun in 15 at-bats as Minnesota posted a 5-0 week. In the Gophers win over Oregon State on Saturday, Amundson tied a career-high with four hits. He also had two doubles, a triple and five RBIs in that game. He leads the team with a .472 average.
Todd McClure, Sr., Illinois McClure won two games for Illinois with homeruns in the bottom of the final innings. He had a solo shot in extra innings and a grand slam to ice Illinois 13-run comeback in game four against Michigan State. McClure had three homeruns and seven RBIs in the series against MSU.
Pitcher of the Week Justin Fry, Sr., Ohio State Fry picked up two wins in the Homestead Challenge last week and was named to the all-tournament team. In 16 innings, Fry struck out 19 batters, walked one and allowed just two earned runs. In the win over Rider, Fry fanned 12 batters and in the process became OSUs all-time strikeout leader.
