COLUMBUS, Ohio – For the third time in his career, senior pitcher Justin Fry (Munhall, Pa.) was named the Big Ten’s Pitcher of the Week.
%^$Fry picked up two wins at the Homestead Challenge last week and was named to the all-tournament team. In 16.0 innings pitched, the co-captain struck out 19 batters, walked one and allowed just two earned runs.
%^$With his fourth strikeout against Rider, Fry moved ahead of Steve Arlin to become the all-time Ohio State strikeout leader (313). He is currently tied for second for career wins with 28, needing just three to pass Pete Perini (30 from 1947-50).
