
Buckeyes Face No. 16 Nebraska at Bill Davis Stadium

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team (21-21, 10-11 Big Ten) welcomes No. 16 Nebraska (34-11, 17-4 Big Ten) to Bill Davis Stadium for a three-game series May 1-3.

- This weekend will be both Western Weekend and Alumni Weekend. On Saturday, members of the 1966 national championship team and the 1991 and 2001 Big Ten championships teams will be honored pregame. Sunday will feature a recognition of former Ohio State baseball captains.
- On Friday, there will be a pre-game petting zoo, on Saturday there will be a mechanical bull and a THE towel giveaway and Sunday will feature a postgame player card giveaway.
- Saturday's game will air on Big Ten Network, while Friday and Sunday will stream on B1G+.
- Loge box seats are on sale now, featuring premium comfort, prime views, and the convenience of mobile delivery from the concession stand. Loge box tickets can be purchased HERE.
- Fans can purchase single game tickets HERE or on the TicketMaster app. Tickets can also be purchased at the ticket office at the Schottenstein Center or at Bill Davis Stadium on gameday. The ticket office will open 60 minutes prior to the start of each game. Students can get in for free with their BuckID.
- Free parking will be available in the lots surrounding Bill Davis Stadium.
- The Buckeyes went 1-2 against Rutgers in Piscataway, N.J. last weekend.
- Ohio State won the first game of a doubleheader, 8-0, on Friday. Alex Bemis and Dane Harvey led the Buckeyes with two hits each. Gavin Kuzniewski (3-2) earned the win on the mound. He struck out five and gave up just four hits in 6.0 scoreless innings. Jake Michalak picked up the save, striking out two in 3.0 scoreless, hitless innings.
- Rutgers took the second game of the doubleheader, 3-0. Chris Domke (4-5) pitched his first career complete game. He took the loss, striking out three and allowing one earned run on six hits in 8.0 innings of work.
- The Buckeyes fell to the Scarlet Knights in the series finale on Sunday, 11-5. Miles Vandenhuvel led the team with a career-high three hits. Pierce Herrenbruck (4-3) took the loss. He struck out four and gave up seven runs on six hits in 5.1 innings pitched.
- Henry Kaczmar leads the Buckeyes at the plate, batting .333 and he has a team-high 58 hits, including a team-high 20 doubles. Kaczmar also leads the team in runs scored with 40. He has batted in 36 runs and is 6-for-7 in stolen bases.
- Harvey leads the Buckeyes with 13 home runs and 47 RBIs. He is batting .313.
- Lee Ellis leads the team in stolen bases; he has swiped 14 bags on 16 attempts.
- On the mound, Kuzniewski (3-2) leads the pitching staff with 52 strikeouts in 55.1 innings pitched.
- Domke (4-5) has fanned 47 in 52.0 innings tossed.
- Herrenbruck (4-3) has notched 43 strikeouts in 55.1 innings, and he leads the pitching staff with a 4.72 ERA.
- The Buckeyes are tied for seventh place in the Big Ten standings. The top 12 teams will compete in the Big Ten Tournament in Omaha, Neb.
- Kaczmar's 2o doubles leads the conference.
- Ellis is tied for first in triples with four. He is tied for fourth-most in stolen bases (14).
- Harvey's 13 home runs are third-most in the Big Ten and his 47 RBIs are tied for fifth-most. His .695 slugging percentage is fifth.
- The Buckeyes host Miami (OH) on Tuesday, May 5 at 6 p.m.
