
Buckeyes Record Seven PR’s at USF and Miami on Friday

Victor Tornstrom and Sopuluchi Anosike combined for three event wins in the first day of decathlon competition.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competed at the first day of the South Florida Invitational and Hurricane Alumni Invitational on Friday. Seven Buckeyes recorded PR's, spanning the 100m, 200m, 400m, 400m hurdles and the decathlon shot put.

- 110m hurdles: Malik Mixon finished fifth in his heat (14.34) in the prelims.
- 400m: Michael Middleton ran a personal-best time of 46.85 to finish sixth.
- 100m: All three Buckeyes finished in the top 10 as Nick Biega was fourth (10.33), Marcus Brown Jr. was seventh (10.37) and DJ Fillmore was 10th (10.52). Biega and Fillmore each recorded a PR.
- 400m hurdles: Lucas Tornstrom was the runner-up with a personal-best time of 53.05.
- 200m: Fillmore also ran a personal-best time of 21.36 in the 200m to finish fourth.

- Decathlon (at Miami): At the Hurricane Alumni Invitational, Victor Tornstrom won the decathlon 100m (10.80) and the decathlon long jump (7.29m/23'11"). Sopuluchi Anosike sits third after the first five events and won the decathlon high jump (1.95m/6'4.75"). Both V. Tornstrom (12.89m/42'3.5") and Anosike (9.71m/31'10.25") recorded a PR in the decathlon shot put.
- Long jump: Brian Kellon finished sixth (7.10m/23'3.5"), while Ibrahim Khairat's best mark of the day was 6.64m/21'9.5".
- High jump: Reign Winston finished eighth, clearing 1.85m/6'0.75" on his first attempt.
- Triple jump: Kellon also finished sixth in the triple jump (14.49m/47'6.5") and Khairat was just outside the top 10 with a best mark of 13.80m/45'4.25".
