Buckeyes Kick Off Big Ten Play Against No.1 UCLA

COLUMBUS, Ohio – For the first time since 1967, the Ohio State baseball team (5-6) will take on UCLA (10-2). The Buckeyes will host the No. 1 Bruins for a three-game series at Bill Davis Stadium Friday, March 6-Sunday, March 8 to open Big Ten play.

Ticket, Parking & Series Information
- Fans can purchase single game tickets HERE or on the TicketMaster app. Tickets can also be purchased at the ticket office at the Schottenstein Center or at Bill Davis Stadium on gameday. The ticket office will open 60 minutes prior to the start of each game. Students can get in for free with their BuckID.
- Free parking will be available in the lots surrounding Bill Davis Stadium.
- For the first time in program history, the Buckeyes will debut black jerseys. They will wear them for the first time during Sunday's game.
- The weekend will be a buckeye stripe weekend. Fans are encouraged to wear white on Friday, scarlet on Saturday and black on Sunday.
- The Buckeyes opened their home schedule with a tough 13-4 loss to Xavier on Wednesday, March 4.
- Maddix Simpson led the Buckeyes with two hits.
- Jude Fisher (1-2) took the loss on the mound. He gave up five runs on two hits in 3.1 innings pitched.
- Nick Sawyer struck out three in a 2.0-inning relief appearance.
- Furcht leads the Buckeyes at the plate, batting .385. He has a team-high 15 hits and three home runs.
- Ellis is batting .286 and has scored a team-high 11 runs. He also leads the Buckeyes in stolen bases; he is a perfect 7-for-7.
- Mason Eckelman, who is batting .256, leads the team in RBIs with 11.
- On the mound, Chris Domke (1-2) and Gavin Kuzniewski (0-0) lead the pitching staff in strikeouts with 18 each. Domke has tossed 12.1 innings and has a 3.65 ERA and Kuzniewski has pitched a staff-high 14.0 innings and has a 3.86 ERA.
- Sigman (1-1) and Own Graf (0-0) have each struck out 10 batters.
- The Bruins are the number one ranked team in the country and enter this weekend's series 10-2 overall.
- Outfielder Will Gasparino leads the Bruins with a .390 batting average. He has a team-high 10 home runs and 22 RBIs.
- First baseman Mulivai Levu leads the team with 18 hits. He is batting .360.
- Infielders Roch Cholowsky (.341) and Roman Martin (.326) are also hitting over .300 for the Bruins.
- On the mound, Logan Reddemann (3-0) leads the pitching staff with 23 strikeouts in 15.1 innings pitched. He has a 4.11 ERA.
- Michael Barnett (3-0) has fanned 12 in 15.0 innings tossed and has a 1.80 ERA.
- The Buckeyes host Kent State for a midweek matchup on Tuesday, March 10 at 3 p.m.
