
Ohio State to Compete in Three Meets this Weekend

The Buckeyes will participate in meets at High Point University, Texas and Ohio.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team travels to the Cherry Blossom Invitational, Texas Relays and VertKlasse Meeting this weekend.
The Cherry Blossom Invitational, hosted by Ohio University, will take place on Friday. The field events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. ET with the women's hammer throw and men's shot put, while the track events will start at noon ET beginning with the women's 100m hurdles.
The Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays will span from Wednesday to Saturday, with the heptathlon and decathlon making up the entirety of the action on the first day of competition. The decathlon will be the first event to begin on Thursday at 11 a.m. ET, while Friday will kick off with section B of the men's discus at 10 a.m. ET. The final day of competition will commence at 11:40 a.m. ET with the men's and women's 4x800m relays. All the action from the Mike A. Myers Track and Soccer Stadium will be available to watch on the University of Texas' Longhorn Network.
The VertKlasse Meeting is hosted by High Point University and will be streamed on ESPN+. Thursday's field events are set to begin at 10 a.m. ET with the open section of the men's hammer throw, while the women's 1500m will kick off the track events at 4:30 p.m. ET. Friday's action will start at 9 a.m. ET, beginning with the women's 800m and the open portion of the women's hammer throw.

- Aniya Mosley improved upon her own program record in the women's 1500m last weekend at the Raleigh Relays. Her time of 4:08.54 earned her a second-place finish, trailing only an unattached runner, and is currently the best collegiate time in the country in the event.
- Katie Castelli also recorded an Ohio State program record in Raleigh, recording a 10:04.34 in the 3000m steeplechase. Her time ranks sixth in the country.
- Redshirt freshman Kiara Webb received Big Ten Female Track Athlete and Freshman of the Week honors last week after registering a 52.65 and placing first in the women's 400m at the USF Alumni Invitational. It was the first time an Ohio State athlete was named the Women's Outdoor Track and Field Freshman of the Week in program history.
