Fillmore Wins Big Ten Title on Day Two of Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competed at the Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. today.
DJ Fillmore stole the show for the Buckeyes on the second day of the Big Ten Championships. Competing in the men's long jump, Fillmore recorded a program and Indiana State Fairgrounds facility record jump of 8.23m/27'0 and was named the 2026 Big Ten Indoor Men's Long Jump Champion. He is the first Buckeye to win the men's long jump competition at the Big Ten Championships since Zack Bazile in 2018 (8.04m/26'4.50). The mark makes him the second-best performer in the NCAA this season behind Oklahoma's Kennedy Stringfellow.
Ohio State also had six more athletes earn spots in Saturday's event finals. Aniya Mosley earned her second finals qualification of the weekend, this time in the women's 800m, with a time of 2:05.00. Kyler Brown and Bobbi Olive qualified in their respective 60m races, while Edidiong Udo and Kiara Webb advanced in the men's and women's 400m. Braxton Brann qualified for the men's 60m hurdles final to round out the action on day two.

Friday, February 27
- Women's 60m: Olive earned a spot in tomorrow's final after crossing the line in 7.35.
- Men's 60m: Brown claimed his second qualification of the weekend after finishing in 6.63.
- Men's 60m Hurdles: Brann recorded a time of 7.70 and will race in Saturday's final.
- Women's 400m: Webb registered a personal best 52.97 to earn her qualifying spot in Saturday's final.
- Men's 400m: Udo crossed the line in 45.60, earning a PB and a chance to run in the event finals.
- Women's 800m: Mosley won her heat in 2:05.50 to earn her second finals qualification of the weekend.
Thursday February 26
- Men's Heptathlon 60m: Victor Tornstrom tied his personal best time of 7.00 and placed second, while Anosike recorded a PB 7.13 and placed 10th.
- Women's 200m: Laila Campbell crossed the line in 23.60 to finish fifth and earn a spot in Saturday's finals.
- Men's 200m: Dominic Calhoun (20.91), Nick Biega (21.04) and Brown (21.05) all earned a spot in Saturday's event finals.
- Women's 600m: Mosley (1:28.35) placed second and Namoi Clarke (1:29.16) placed eighth. Both times were personal bests and qualified for Saturday's finals.

- Men's Long Jump: Fillmore was named Big Ten Champion after jumping a program and facility record 8.23m/27'0 on his last attempt of the day.
- Heptathlon Pole Vault: Tornstrom placed third after clearing 4.60m/15'1.00.
Thursday, February 26
- Men's Heptathlon Long Jump: Tornstrom jumped a career-best 7.49m/24'7.00 and finished first in the event. Anosike recorded a personal best of his own with a 7.08m/23'2.50 attempt and placed seventh.
- Men's Heptathlon Shot Put: Tornstrom secured a third-place finish with a personal best 12.88m/42'3.25 throw.
