Buckeyes Off to Indianapolis This Weekend For Indoor Big Tens

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track & field program will travel to the Indiana State Fairgrounds this Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1 for the Big Ten Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Events on Friday begin with the women's pentathlon 60m hurdles at 10:10 a.m. with the men's heptathlon 60m dash following at 10:20 a.m. On Saturday, the men's heptathlon 60m hurdles kicks off the day at 10:20 a.m. with the women's high jump following at 11:10 a.m. Weekend passes for parking ($20) and admission ($25) are available. Seniors and students with ID can purchase admission for $15 for the weekend. Live results and streaming are available via the links above with the B1G+ streams requiring a subscription.

- Leah Bertrand has collected three wins this season, all at the Hoosier Horsepower Classic. Two were in the 60m (preliminaries and finals) with the third coming in the 200m. She also owns nine of the top 10 fastest times this season for Buckeye women with her fastest being 7.21 seconds (Stan Scott Invitational). The altitude-adjusted time of 7.23 ranks 18th in the country.
- Freshman Edidiong Udo ranks eighth in the country with his winning 400m time of 45.72 at the Stan Scott Invitational. That time also puts him third on the program's all-time top performers list in the men's 400m. Udo makes another appearance in Ohio State's record book as the fourth fastest 600m individual performer (1:16.77).
- Janela Spencer ranks 15th with her 60m hurdles time of 8.13 seconds, which came at the Tiger Paw Invitational. Spencer has six of the 10 fastest 60m hurdles times for Ohio State women this season, claiming the two fastest times of 8.13 and 8.15.
- Olivia Powell won the women's 60m hurdles at the Hoosier Horsepower Classic with a time of 8.36 seconds. Powell holds four of the top 10 fastest 60m hurdles times for Buckeye women this season with her fastest time of 8.21 (altitude adjusted) ranking third on that list and 35th in the country.
- Lacey Stringer is coming off her first season win after throwing 16.56m/54-04.00 in the women's shot put at the AU Last Chance meet last weekend. Stringer is ranked 16th nationally with her best shot put mark (17.36m/56-11.25)at the Crossroads of America. She holds the top six spots on the farthest shot put distances for Ohio State women this season with her Crossroads of America performance sitting at the top. She also holds the best weight throw distance of 18.96m/62-02.50 out of all Buckeye women this season.
- Hayden Tobias owns the top three shot put distances this season with his best mark of 18.84m/61-09.75 earning him third at the Tiger Paw Invitational and ranking 33rd in the country.
