COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track & field team wrapped up a Valentine's Day weekend at two meets on Saturday, competing in the Tiger Paw and David Hemery Valentine Invites.
The Buckeyes saw eight personal records set with Ibrahim Khairat (14.98m/49-01.75, men's triple jump), Syndee Burr (12.87m/42-02.75, women's triple jump & 6.07m/19-11.00, women's long jump), Morgan Bridges (12.10m/39-09.25, women's triple jump), Janela Spencer (8.15, then 8.13, women's 60m hurdles), Noah Carmichael (46.62, men's 400m) and Morgan Fijalkowski (4.14m/13-07.00, women's pole vault) to name them.
Ohio State had 14 top 10 finishes between the women's 200m (Fatouma Conde, tied-for-ninth), men's pole vault (Daniel Edwards, tied-for-seventh), women's high jump (Amaya Ugarte, fourth), women's shot put (Lacey Stringer, fourth) women's triple jump (Burr, third), men's shot put (Hayden Tobias, third), women's 60m hurdles (Spencer, seventh), men's 400m (Carmichael, third & Jaxson Eckert, fourth), women's long jump (Burr, fifth), women's pole vault (Nicole Grimes, seventh, Fijalkowski, tied-for-seventh & Sophie Fong, tied-for-ninth) and women's weight throw (Sophie Bidwell, eighth). The Buckeyes also had 29 athletes place in the top half of the competition in their events.

A LOOK AHEAD
Next weekend, the Buckeyes are set to be off with action resuming Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1 at the Big Ten Indoor Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. The Buckeyes will then have another weekend off to prepare for the NCAA Indoor Championships at Virginia Beach, Va. on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15. Information regarding the meets will be sent out during the respective weeks leading up to the events.

Day Two: Saturday, Feb. 15
- Women's 200m: Out of 50 runners, Leah Bertrand finished in the top half of the competition at 22nd with a time of 23.78 seconds. Callia Harris placed 27th (24.26) with Bobbi Olive following in 28th (24.47). Conde ran in the 200m purple event, tying for ninth place with a time of 23.81 seconds.
- Men's 200m: Nazzio John (15th, 21.31) and Nick Biega (17th, 21.36) finished in the top half of the 46 total runners.
- Men's 4x400m relay: Carmichael (46.45), Edidiong Udo (48.25), Mason Louis (45.84) and Shohaan Singh (48.50) finished 14th out of 28 teams with a time of 3:09.03.
David Hemery Valentine Invitational
Day Two: Saturday, Feb. 15
- Women's 800m: Amelia Figler finished in 34th place out of 240 athletes with a time of 2:08.73. Lilly Eckels was right behind her with a time of 2:08.98, placing 39th. Carina Napoleon's time of 2:10.85 just missed the top 50 by 0.46 seconds, landing in the 54th spot.
- Women's one mile: Napoleon's time of 4:54.02 (108th place) earned her a spot in the top 33 percent of competitors.
- Women's 3000m: Akemi Von Scherr finished 128th out of 288 with a time of 9:39.13. Zoee Lehman was the next Buckeye to follow with a time of 9:47.95. Mia Robillard rounded out the lineup of Buckeye women with a time of 10:05.82.
- Women's 5000m: Daniella Santos ran a 16:27.01, placing 64th out of 201. Ana Karmol (17:17.90) and Teodora Lovi (17:34.65) also competed in the event.
Tiger Paw Invitational
Day One: Friday, Feb. 14
- Women's 60m hurdles preliminaries: Spencer placed in the top 10 (seventh) with a time of 8.15 seconds, good for a new personal record. Olivia Powell finished second in her heat with a time of 8.35 seconds. Katie Ruffener completed the event with a time of 10.58. Spencer and Powell both qualify for the next round.
- Women's 60m hurdles semifinals: Spencer finished 15th in the semifinals with a time of 8.13 seconds, beating out her personal record set in the preliminaries. She was just 0.03 seconds off the final qualifying spot. Powell's semifinals time was 8.23 seconds.
- Men's 60m hurdles preliminaries: Malik Mixon finished in 8.40 seconds, which is the fifth fastest 60m hurdles time for Ohio State men this season. Mixon now owns all top six fastest 60m hurdles times on this list.
- Women's 60m preliminaries: Bertrand led the Buckeyes in the prelims with a 17th-place finish (7.35 seconds) to qualify for the semifinals.
- Women's 60m semifinals: Bertrand placed sixth in her heat with a time of 7.30 seconds.
- Men's 60m preliminaries: John finished with a time of 6.82 seconds.
- Men's 400m: Udo finished just shy of his season best (45.61) with a time of 46.42 seconds. Carmichael competed in a different group, earning third place a new personal record of 46.62 seconds.
- Men's 600m: Eckert ran a season best 1:19.14, which placed fourth overall.
David Hemery Valentine Invitational
Day One: Friday, Feb. 14
- Men's 3000m: Connor Long completed the event with a time of 8:25.87.
- Men's 5000m: Liam Shaughnessy led the Buckeyes with a time of 14:16.23. Colby Adams followed with 14:20.16. Keegan Freyhof ran a time of 14:47.21 with Zubin Jha right behind him (14:48.34).

Day Two: Saturday, Feb. 15
- Women's high jump: Harris tied for the 11th best distance of 1.61m/05-03.25.
- Women's shot put: Morgan Hallett's 13th-ranked toss of 13.81m/45-03.75 came in the third round.
- Men's pole vault: Edwards tied for seventh with a clearance height of 4.73m/15-06.25.
- Men's triple jump: Khairat set a new personal record with a distance of 14.98m/49-01.75.
- Men's shot put: On his second attempt, Michael Lunsford threw for his best mark of 15.05m/49-04.50.
- Women's high jump invite: Ugarte registered a season best performance of 1.79m/05-10.50, good for fourth place.
- Women's shot put invite: Stringer had her best throw of 16.54m/54-03.25 in the sixth round, placing fourth.
- Women's triple jump: Burr led the Buckeyes with a distance of 12.87m/42-02.75, placing third. Bridges jumped 12.10m/39-09.25 with Zamesha Myle finishing right behind her (12.08m/39-08.50). Burr and Bridges each set personal records with their performances.
- Men's shot put invite: Tobias earned third place after hurling a season best distance of 18.84m/61-09.75.
- Men's high jump: Sean Kaminski tied for the 12th best height of 2.01m/06-07 out of 35 competitors. Devin Jordan had a height clearance of 1.96m/06-05.

Day One: Friday, Feb. 14
- Men's weight throw: Tanner Watson tossed a season best distance of 18.24m/59-10.25, placing 11th.
- Women's long jump: Burr led the Buckeyes with a personal-best mark of 6.07m/19-11.00, finishing fifth overall.
- Men's long jump: Brian Kellon's best jump came in the second round with a distance of 6.90m/22-07.75. His jump ranks in the top three performances for the Buckeye men's long jump this season. Kellon holds the top four distances in the event this season for the Buckeyes as well.
- Women's pole vault: Grimes tied for seventh by clearing 3.65m /11-11.75 on her first attempt.
- Women's pole vault invitational: Fijalkowski tied for seventh overall with a third best height clearance of 4.14m/13-07.00 (personal record). Fong tied for ninth with height of 3.99m/13-01.00.
- Women's weight throw: Bidwell finished eighth (18.09m/59-04.25) to lead Ohio State's entries. Stringer (11th, 16.95m/55-07.50) and Hallett (13th, 16.64m/54-07.25) each just fell out of the top 10.
