Spencer Qualifies for Women’s 100m Hurdles Final at NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competed at the second day of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships today in Eugene, Ore.
Janela Spencer was the lone Buckeye to qualify for one of Saturday night's track event finals after finishing second in her women's 100m hurdles semifinal heat with a time of 12.77. The mark is the best wind-legal time of Spencer's career and improves her standing as the third best performer in program history in the event. The senior competed in last year's 100m hurdles final where she earned a sixth-place finish and USTFCCCA First Team All-American honors.
Morgan Hallett will join Spencer in action on Saturday as she is set to compete in the women's discus final.

- Men's 200m: Nazzio John recorded a 20.40 in the first heat of the semifinal.
- Men's 4x100m Relay: John, Dominic Calhoun, Kyler Brown and Brann turned in a school record 38.64 and earned an automatic qualification into Friday's final.
- Men's 4x400m Relay: Noah Carmichael, Mason Louis, Edidiong Udo and Damon Frabotta were disqualified after the conclusion of the event.
