COLUMBUS, Ohio – Bill Mosiello, head coach of the Ohio State baseball team for the last two years, has announced his resignation. Mosiello will be pursuing other professional opportunities.
"We want to thank Bill for his time as a Buckeye and wish him well with his new adventures," said Executive Associate Athletic Director Shaun Richard. "I'm looking forward to the process of finding the next leader that will take this program to the next level."
Mosiello was named the head coach of the Ohio State baseball program in June 2022. He led the Buckeyes to a 60-51 overall record and a 21-27 Big Ten record in his two seasons in Columbus.
Mosiello's tenure at Ohio State was highlighted by a trip to the Big Ten Tournament this season, in which the Buckeyes picked up an opening-round victory against Nebraska. It was Ohio State's first appearance in the conference tournament since 2019.
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
