COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track & field team began the outdoor season on Friday at the USF Alumni Invitational.

Aniya Mosley earned the first Buckeye win of the outdoor season in the 800m (2:04.53) as she now ranks third in program history. Alex Kenish completed the Buckeyes' sweep of the 800m (1:50.52).

The Buckeyes wrap up competition in Tampa on Saturday, beginning with the men's high jump, women's triple jump and men's discus at 11 a.m.

TRACK EVENTS
- 800m: On the men's side, all four Buckeyes finished in the top-10 – Kenish's win, Jaxson Eckert finished seventh (1:53.83), Cooper Citro was eighth (1:55.03) and Ivan Slyepkan was ninth (1:55.60). Behind Mosley's win, Carina Napoleon also had a top-10 time (2:08.90), finishing ninth. Â
- 400m hurdles: Chanler Robinson was the runner-up (57.89) in the women's competition.
- 200m: Fatouma Conde finished sixth (23.90) among 74 athletes who finished the race. Out of the 51 men, Mason Louis was fourth (20.87) and Marcus Brown was fifth (20.96).
- Pole vault: Ohio State had three of the top-four finishers on the women's side. Abbey Kuhn was the runner-up, clearing 4.10m / 13'5.25" on her first attempt. Morgan Fijalkowski and Sophie Fong finished third and fourth, respectively, each clearing 4.00m / 13'1.5" and tying for fourth in program history. On the men's side, Daniel Edwards finished eighth, clearing 4.85m / 15'11" on his first attempt.
- Shot put: Carlos Aviles (18.14m / 59'6.25") and Adam Riedinger (16.89m / 55'5") both qualified for the men's finals, finishing third and seventh, respectively. Lacey Stringer was fifth on the women's side (16.15m / 53'0") to lead Ohio State.
- Hammer throw: Stringer led the Buckeye women and finished as the runner-up with a best throw of 60.72m / 199'2". The Buckeye men had two qualify for the finals as Anthony Wilks finished eighth (54.43m / 178'7") and Evan Johnson finished ninth (54.41m / 178'6"). Â
- Long jump: Kayla Watson led the OSU women by finishing sixth overall (5.99m / 19'8"). Brian Kellon was the lone Buckeye on the men's side (6.85m / 22'5.75").
