COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track & field team travels to Lubbock, Texas for the Corky Classic on Friday and Saturday, hosted by Texas Tech.
Friday's schedule features field events only, beginning at 6 p.m. ET with the women's weight throw. On Saturday, track events begin at 11:40 a.m. ET with the women's 1,000m, while field events begin at 12:30 p.m. ET with the women's pole vault.
- The Buckeyes opened the 2024 indoor season at the Rod McCravy Memorial last weekend, hosted in Louisville by the University of Kentucky.
- Ohio State earned six total event wins at the Rod McCravy Memorial, beginning with a sweep of the distance medley relay last Friday. On the women's side, Annie Allen, Gia Napoleon, Carina Napoleon and Akemi Von Scherr ran a collective 11:36.10. On the men's side, Evan Hughes, Jaxson Eckert, Alex Kenish and Alex Dediu ran a 10:09.79.
- The Buckeyes earned the remaining four wins on Saturday. They swept the 60m competition with Leah Bertrand winning the women's competition (7.26) and Nazzio John winning the men's competition (6.72). Andrea Kuhn won the 3000m (9:32.68) and Aniya Mosley won the mile (4:53.67).
- Bertrand's 60m time (7.26) was a personal-best time and ranks third in program history.
