
Field Events Kick Off Competition at Corky Classic

The Buckeyes’ first day of action at the Corky Classic featured the high jump and men’s pole vault.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track & field team began competition at the Corky Classic in Lubbock, Texas on Friday with select field events.
- High jump: In the men's competition, Shaun Miller Jr. tied for the runner-up spot by clearing 2.14m / 7'0.25" on his second attempt. Amaya Ugarte finished fifth in the women's competition, clearing 1.77m / 5'9.75" on her second attempt.
- Pole vault: Leo Uusimaki cleared 4.90m / 16'0.75" on his first attempt to lead the Buckeyes.
UP NEXT
Ohio State wraps up the Corky Classic on Saturday. The first event scheduled is the women's 1000m at 11:40 a.m. ET.
