Bruni Named No. 6 Pitching Prospect Out of CCBL by D1Baseball

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State southpaw Gavin Bruni has been named the No. 6 pitching prospect out of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) by D1Baseball.
Bruni, who enters his junior season with the Buckeyes, spent the summer on the Cape with the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He made four appearances, including two starts on the mound.
Bruni picked up one win, when the Red Sox defeated Harwich on July 11; he struck out two and did not allow any runs in 2.1 innings tossed. Bruni pitched 11.1 total innings with the Red Sox and fanned 13.
During the 2023 season with the Buckeyes, Bruni made 14 starts on the mound and finished the year with a 5-3 record and a 4.87 ERA. He struck out 73 in 57.1 innings pitched.
