Buckeyes Set to Compete at NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships

Ohio State qualified 10 entries into this year’s championships.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team travels to Eugene, Ore., this week for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The meet will take place over four days, spanning from Wednesday to Saturday, on the campus of the University of Oregon and will be broadcast on ESPN2. Men's events will take place on Wednesday and Friday, while women's events will occur on Thursday and Saturday.
Wednesday's action begins at 8:05 p.m. ET with the men's 4x100m relay semifinals, while Thursday's schedule commences with the women's 4x100m relay semifinals, also at 8:05 p.m. ET. The men's 4x100m relay final will take place at 8:02 p.m. ET on Friday and the women's discus final will lead things off on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET.
Wednesday's action begins at 8:05 p.m. ET with the men's 4x100m relay semifinals, while Thursday's schedule commences with the women's 4x100m relay semifinals, also at 8:05 p.m. ET. The men's 4x100m relay final will take place at 8:02 p.m. ET on Friday and the women's discus final will lead things off on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET.
- Braxton Brann punched his ticket to the men's 110m hurdles semifinals at last week's NCAA East First Round in Lexington, Ky., when he improved on his own school record in the event. Brann recorded a 13.28 in the quarterfinals, placing first in his heat and fourth overall.
- Nazzio John placed first in his quarterfinals heat of the men's 200m with a time of 20.27 and will be competing in Eugene.
- Aniya Mosley will compete in the women's 1500m semifinals after recording a 4:10.01 in the quarterfinals. Mosley is the program record holder in the 1500m with her time of 4:08.54 registered at the Raleigh Relays earlier this year.
- Janela Spencer qualified for the women's 100m hurdles semifinals and moved into third on the school's all-time top performers list in the event with a 12.79 in the quarterfinals.
- Laila Campbell will race in the women's 200m hurdles semifinals after registering the third fastest time in her quarterfinals heat (22.82).
- Morgan Hallett's mark of 56.52m/185'5" in the women's discus competition in Lexington secured her a spot in this week's final.
- The Ohio State men qualified for the 4x100m and 4x400m relay semifinals. John, Dominic Calhoun, Kyler Brown and Nick Biega punched their ticket with a time of 38.79 in the 4x100m quarterfinals, while Noah Carmichael, Damon Frabotta, Mason Louis and Edidiong Udo recorded a season-best 3:00.99 in the 4x400m quarterfinals.
- The Buckeye women also qualified for both the 4x100m and 4x400m relay semifinals. Bobbi Olive, Spencer, Sydney Bryant and Campbell earned their spot with a season-best performance in the 4x100m quarterfinals (43.57). Campbell, Kiara Webb, Michaela McCall and Naomi Clarke registered a time of 3:29.81 to qualify for the 4x400m semifinals.
- Ohio State earned three podium finishes at last year's outdoor championships. Leah Bertrand placed fifth in the women's 100m finals with an 11.21 and fourth in the 200m final with a time of 22.60. Spencer finished sixth in the women's 100m hurdles final (13.25).
