COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State softball (25-26) dropped the second game of its series with No. 25 Washington (35-16), 8-2. The teams will rematch to decide the series at 1 p.m. tomorrow.

The offense scattered four hits on the day. Hadley Parisien and Skylar Limon drove in each run, with Parisien notching an RBI single and Limon homering.

Jenna Molk (15-14) got the start and the loss. Molk allowed five earned runs over six innings, striking out six. Lexi Paulsen and Kennedy Kay combined for an inning of work, with Paulsen allowing two earned runs.

How it Happened

Washington took the lead in the top of the third on an Alexis DeBoer solo home run.
The Huskies added to the lead in the top of the fourth with Ally Hetzel scoring on an error.
Hadley Parisien singled up the middle to score Lottie Landmessser in the bottom of the fifth, cutting the Washington lead to 2-1.
Washington took a 6-1 lead in the top of the sixth on a Melody Acevedo single that scored Ava Carroll and a three-run Marley teasley home run.
Jadyn Glab homered in the top of the seventh, scoring two and giving Washington a 8-1 lead.
Skylar Limon homered in the bottom of the seventh, giving Ohio State its second run to etch the final score of 8-2.
Jenna Molk got the start and the loss for Ohio State. Sophia Ramuno (10-4) went the distance, getting the win for the Huskies.

Retiring the Regular Season
The Buckeyes will close their home schedule and regular season against Washington tomorrow, at 1 p.m. Ohio State softball will also be celebrating Senior Day, honoring Buckeye seniors Kennedy Kay, Skylar Limon and Lexi Paulsen.

A block party, with food trucks, games, music and face painting will kick off at noon, lasting until 2 p.m. It will also be the final Sunday Funday of the season, featuring free popcorn for youth (while supplies last), inflatables and games.
