Ohio State to Hold Third Annual Hit-A-Thon Wednesday

COLUMBUS, Ohio – As Ohio State softball navigates its fall schedule, the program is set to host its third annual Hit-A-Thon on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
The Hit-A-Thon presents a special opportunity to support the Buckeyes, with all proceeds raised going to support the Ohio State's operational needs and a team international trip. The event also offers free admission.
The goal of the Hit-A-Thon is to have 10 sponsors for each student athlete. Student-athletes will get 10 pitches of front toss, with the footage of longest hit used to determine each sponsor's donation. Those interested in contributing to the program can make an outright donation or pledge an amount of money per foot. Home runs will be considered 220 feet.
For example, a pledge of 25 cents-per-foot on a home run would be a donation of $55. Each home run hit renders an additional 10 feet added, so if an athlete were to hit 10 home runs with the same 25 cents-per-foot pledge, the total donation would be $77.50, or 310 multiplied by .25.
Pledges can be made at this link.
Outright donations can be made at this link.
