
Ohio State to Close Regular Season in Home Series with No. 25 Washington

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State softball (24-25) returns home from a west coast trip, set to finish both its regular season and conference schedule in a three-game series with No. 25 Washington (34-15).
The weekend will play host to various promotions, highlighted by Senior Day on Sunday, which will celebrate Skylar Limon, Kennedy Kay, Lexi Paulsen and student manager Bradley Burk. Friday will be Retro Night at Buckeye Field, with a slap bracelet giveaway to the first 250 fans in attendance. Saturday will feature a mini bat giveaway to the first 125 fans in attendance.

Noting the Buckeyes
Ohio State's 2026 campaign has been highlighted by its offensive effort. The team is hitting .314 collectively, with seven every-day bats swinging above .315. Hadley Parisien is batting a team-best .378, with an OPS of 1.451 and 19 home runs. Skylar Limon and Sami Bewick are on her heels in average, batting .375 and .372 respectively.
Four Buckeyes have home run totals in the double digits, including Parisien, Abbie Wilhelm, Taylor Cruse and Kiki Estrada. Wilhelm and Cruse lead with 23 and 20 individually. Those four also combine for 56% of Ohio State's RBI this season.
Jenna Molk has led the Ohio State pitching stable for most of the season, holding leading marks in ERA, wins, strikeouts and innings pitched. Lorin Boutte has picked up four of Ohio State's five most recent wins, with 17 strikeouts in those victories.
Celebrating the Seniors
The Buckeyes will be celebrating seniors Limon, Kay and Paulsen on Sunday, a trio with no shortage of impact on the program.
Hailing from La Habra, California, Limon leads the roster in games played with 165. Limon holds a lifetime average of .362 as a Buckeye, is a four-time scholar athlete, and was named both 2nd Team All-Big Ten and 3rd Team All-Great Lakes Region in 2025.
Creston, Ohio native Kay leads the pitching stable in career innings pitched, at 216.1. She holds 18 wins as a Buckeye, with 13 of those coming in the 2025 season, and has 123 strikeouts in her collegiate career. Kay is also a two-time scholar athlete.
Paulsen, a native of Carroll, Ohio graduates a two-time scholar athlete and was named a Big Ten Player to Watch prior to both the 2025 and 2026 season. Paulsen missed her junior season due to injury, but tossed 45.0 innings as a sophomore, which included a complete game, shut out win over Michigan. Paulsen has held batters to a .286 average in the 2026 season.
Scouting Washington
No. 25 Washington travels to Columbus 34-15 on the season, with a 15-6 record in Big Ten competition. The Huskies are currently ranked No. 4 in the Big Ten, with a .327 team average that is good for fifth-best in the conference. Opponents are only batting .242 against Washington, with a team ERA 3.34. Eight every-day players are batting above .315, with six holding averages above .350. Kaycie Burdick holds the leading average at .383. Giselle Alvarez leads the squad in hits (62), home runs (14) and RBI (51).
Morgan Reimer has 22 of Washington's wins in the circle, with 122 strikeouts that crack ninth among Big Ten pitchers. Reimer leads the conference in innings pitched, having tossed 157 on the year. She is tied for third in complete games, with 11.
