Ohio State returns home to host Penn State Sunday
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 25 Ohio State women's lacrosse team lost a Big Ten game to No. 3 Michigan, 10-6, Thursday in Ann Arbor, Mich. The teams were tied at one after the first and Michigan led by one after the second (3-2) and third (5-4). The Wolverines pulled away in the fourth for the victory. Ohio State is now 7-5 on the year (2-3 B1G) with Michigan 11-2 (5-0 B1G).

- Ohio State will return home to host No. 21 Penn State at noon Sunday in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
- Sunday is Senior Day, with the Buckeyes' Class of 2026 recognized postgame.

- The teams were tied at one after one quarter.
- Michigan opened the scoring at 11:51. At 5:06 the answered, as Maeve Simonds took a pass from Maddy Paz and scored on a long shot.
- A Brooke Vinson drive and score at14:29 put Ohio State ahead 2-1.
- Michigan tallied twice in less than two minutes, at 12:32 and 10:37, for a 3-2 lead and carried the advantage into halftime.
- The teams were scoreless for an 18:58 stretch before each squad scored twice in the final 6:39 of the third quarter for a one-goal game at the break.
- Kate Tyack set up a Lindsey Moneymaker score to tie the game at three. Michigan tallied the next two, at 5:08 and 4:43, for the first two-goal lead of the game.
- Zoe Coleman converted a free position chance at 2:37 to put the Buckeyes within one (5-4).
- A three-goal run for the Wolverines to start the fourth stretched the lead to 8-4 at 11:56.
- Buckeye Camryn Callaghan scored on a free position chance to end the UM run at 9:54.
- After a Michigan goal at 6:05 on a free position opportunity, Tyack came around and scored at 3:28.
- The final goal of the game was scored by Michigan player-up with eight seconds left.
- The Buckeyes had 23 shots in the game, the Wolverines 26. Buckeye goalie Jocelyn Torres made six saves and the UM goalie had 11 stops, including four in the fourth quarter.
- Ohio State had the edge in ground balls, 12-11, and Michigan was ahead in draw controls, 12-5. Each team was 16-for-18 on clears.
- Kampbell Stone and Torres were first for the Buckeyes with three ground balls each and Tyack had two. Abby Boyle had a team-high four draw controls.
- Stone and Darrien Furiness each caused two turnovers vs. the Wolverines.
- Tyack leads the Buckeyes with 18 assists and 49 points, ranking second with 31 goals. She extended her point streak to 18 with 43 goals and 62 points in the stretch and has multiple points in 10 of 12 games this year. Tyack has 120 points as a Buckeye (89 g, 31a).
