
No. 25 Buckeyes Host No. 21 Penn State on Senior Day Sunday

The Basics
- The No. 25 Ohio State women's lacrosse team is back home to host No. 21 Penn State at noon Sunday in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium in Columbus. Admission and parking are free.Â

- Ohio State is 7-5 on the year (2-3 B1G) and coming off a 10-6 loss at No. 3 Michigan Thursday night. Penn State is 9-3 overall (1-2 B1G) and fell to then-No. 3 Maryland 14-13 on the road last Sunday in its last time out. Â
- Sunday, the nine members of the Buckeye Class of 2026 will be recognized postgame.
- The group includes Annie Hargraves, Katie Kaucheck, Brooke Vinson, Camryn Callaghan, Chelsea Debevec, Amani Kimball-McKavish, Darrien Furiness, Jocelyn Torres and Zoe Coleman.
- The Buckeyes are 4-8 against Penn State since the start of B1G play.
- Last year, Ohio State fell on the road in overtime at Penn State, 12-11, April 6, 2025. The game was tied nine times and neither team was able to extend beyond a two-goal lead in the contest. Among current Buckeyes, Kate Tyack had four goals and five points in the contest and Zoe Coleman tallied four times.
- The last game in Columbus was an Ohio State comeback win, 9-8, March 28, 2024. Tyack had a hat trick (including the gwg) in that victory.
- In the Big Ten this year, Penn State has a win at USC, with a home loss to Michigan and road defeat at Maryland.Â
- The Nittany Lions are scoring 14.5 goals a game to rank 12th nationally in scoring offense and are allowing 9.25 goals a game. The squad is 16th nationally in clearing percentage (.922) and sixth in both shot percentage (.499) and save percentage (.504).
- For the second year in a row, Buckeye goalie Jocelyn Torres has been named to the watch list for the Tewaaraton Award.Â
- This year, she has started all 12 games for the Buckeyes, with 77 saves, a 10.11 goals-against average and .426 save percentage.
- Torres has 64 collegiate games played (all starts), posting a 10.44 gaa and .452 sv%. Â
- She matched her career best with 14 saves at Louisville Feb. 10 in a double overtime win and had 12 saves in the Buckeyes' win at Northwestern March 15 and against Rutgers March 19, tied for the fourth-most in her collegiate career.
- The Buckeyes are No. 25 in the IWLCA rankings for the third consecutive week.
- Ohio State fell to No. 3 Michigan, 10-6, Thursday evening. The teams were tied at one after the first and Michigan led by a goal after the second (3-2) and third (5-4). The Wolverines pulled away in the fourth for the victory.Â
- Ohio State is 19th in the NCAA in scoring offense, with 13.83 goals per game and 16 or more in five of the last eight outings. The squad was held to a season-low six goals at Michigan last time out.
- Ohio State is averaging 9.83 goals allowed per game, giving up 10 or less in nine outings (and four or less four times). Â
- The Buckeyes are averaging 28.1 shots a game and holding opponents to 23.5 per outing. Ohio State is eighth nationally in shooting percentage (.493) and is averaging 20.92 shots on goal a game.
- Ohio State is 26th in the NCAA in free position percentage, converting 50.9 percent of its chances. Â
- The win at then-No. 4 Northwestern March 15 was the Buckeyes' first over a top 10 team since a 16-13 victory at No. 9 Penn State April 9, 2016, with Ohio State ranked 12th at the time. It was the first win over a team ranked in the top 5 since an unranked Ohio State squad beat No. 4 Northwestern in overtime 11-10 March 9, 2014.
- Junior Kate Tyack leads the Buckeyes with 49 points, ranking second with 31 goals and first with 18 assists (her second-straight 40-point season and three goals shy of the team-best 34 goals she had a season ago). She has multiple points in 11 of 12 games this season (all but Feb. 27 vs. Detroit Mercy), with multiple assists in six games and multiple goals in eight. She now has 89 goals and 120 points in her Buckeye career. Tyack is on 18-game goal and point streaks, with 43 goals and 60 points in the stretch. She has three gamewinning goals this year.
- Senior transfer Camryn Callaghan is first on the squad with 33 goals and second with 43 points, ranking third with 10 assists. She has a team-high nine player-up scores. Â
- Callaghan has a point in each of her last 27 games, with a 74-16-90 line in the stretch. Her career total is now 229 points (190g, 39a). She ranks sixth among current NCAA players in career goals and is eighth in points, ranking 14th in goals per game (2.97) and 24th in points per game (3.58).Â
- This year, Callaghan is fifth nationally in free position goals per game (12/1.0). She has converted 63.2 percent of her free position opportunities to rank 24th.
- Darrien Furiness and Jocelyn Torres are tied for first on the team with 22 ground balls each. Furiness, a senior, has started all 12 games this season after playing in nine games the last three years combined.Â
- Zoe Coleman has goals in seven of 12 games this year, with a 15-5-20 line. She now has 70 goals and 25 assists for 95 career points. She had a season-high six points vs. Oregon last week, the second-most in her career behind a seven-point outing in 2025.Â
- Sophomore Abby Boyle, who was first on the team with 50 draw controls last year, had a program-record 16 against Detroit Mercy Feb. 27. The program record had been 13, set three times prior, with the last March 10, 2022 by Chloe Johnson. Boyle now leads the Buckeyes with 64 draw controls (the eighth-most in a single season in program history) and has five or more in seven of the last 10 games. She is the 12th Buckeye with at least 100 draw controls in her career and currently ranks ninth in program history with 114.
- Kampbell Stone is second on the team with 26 draw controls, followed by Delaney Harlan with 25. Stone is second on the squad with 10 caused turnovers, while Lindsey McCulloch has nine.
- Stone has 14 goals on the year, with at least one score in eight outings.
- Audrey Schoemer, who has started all 44 games in her Buckeye career, is first on the team with 11 caused turnovers, including four last week vs. Oregon.
- Brooke Vinson has a goal in 10 of 12 games this season, including in each of the last four outings. She has a career-high 14 goals and 17 points. Vinson played in six games and had three points (1g, 2a) over the last three years.
- Maddy Paz is third on the team with 18 goals and 33 points and second with 15 assists after a six-goal season as a freshman last year. She has a point in 10 of 12 games, including a stretch of seven-straight multiple-point outings.Â
- Hargraves, Torres and Stone were selected the Buckeyes' team captains for this season.
- Callaghan, Torres and Tyack were named to the Big Ten Players to Watch list entering the year.
- Ohio State will head to California for a Big Ten game against USC at 4 p.m. ET April 11 in Los Angeles.
- The squad will then return home to close out the regular season, hosting host Kent State at 3 p.m. April 15 and No. 1 Maryland at 4 p.m. April 18. Admission and parking are free.Â
