COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two first inning runs and lockdown defense lifted Ohio State softball (14-18) to its second conference series win, with a 2-0 win over the Michigan State Spartans (13-19).

Hailey Lang's RBI double would provide all the offense in the contest. Lang was one of three Buckeyes who recorded hits, including Izzy Neal who went 2-3 and Sami Bewick, who went 1-3.

Jenna Molk tossed her second straight complete game shutout, blanking the Spartans and picking up her 11^th win of the season.

How it Happened

Ohio State took a first inning lead, with a two-out, bases loaded double in the gap off the bat of Hailey Lang that scored Hadley Parisien and Sami Bewick.
The defense would hold the line the rest of the game, leaving eight MSU runners stranded and breaking out of a bases loaded jam to end the game.
Jenna Molk (11-10) got the start and the win, going the distance to scatter four hits and strike out three. Camryn Cassady got the start and the loss for Michigan State.
