Callaghan and Tyack notch hat tricks for Ohio State
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 25 Ohio State women's lacrosse team lost on the road to No. 8 Johns Hopkins, 18-12, Sunday at Homewood Field in Baltimore. The Blue Jays led 3-1 after the first quarter and 8-4 at the half. Ohio State cut the lead to two twice in the third quarter but could get no closer. Kate Tyack led the Buckeyes with five points, on three goals and two assists, while Camryn Callaghan had a hat trick and Abby Boyle was first with 10 draw controls.

The Buckeyes are now 6-4 on the year (1-2 Big Ten) and Johns Hopkins is 10-1 (3-0 B1G).

How it Happened
- The Blue Jays notched the game's first three goals at 13:09, 9:17 and 3:12.
- A free position shot from Camryn Callaghan put the Buckeyes on the board at 2:05 and the first quarter ended with Johns Hopkins up 3-1.
- The Buckeyes were outscored 5-3 in the second quarter, giving the Blue Jays an 8-4 lead at the half.
- Hopkins tallied the first two goals of the quarter before Buckeye Lindsey Moneymaker scored at 9:41.
- After a JHU goal, Callaghan forced a turnover deep in the Blue Jay zone for a goal at 6:36.
- The Blue Jays scored back-to-back at 5:09 and 4:16 to go ahead 8-3.
- Ohio State's Brooke Vinson ended the scoring in the half with 28 seconds remaining.

- Four goals from Johns Hopkins followed, moving the lead to 18-11 at 4:00.
- Tyack set up Maddy Paz with 1:46 left, which stood as the game's final goal.
