Tyack and Coleman lead Ohio State offense
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 25 Ohio State women's lacrosse team downed Oregon in a Big Ten game, 20-2, Thursday in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium. After the Ducks tied the game at one, the Buckeyes went on an 18-goal run, shutting out Oregon for 43 minutes, en route to the win. Ohio State led 3-1 after the first quarter, 10-1 at the half and 16-1 through 45 minutes.

Kate Tyack led the Buckeyes with seven points, on three goals and four assists. Zoe Coleman had four goals and two assists for six points and Camryn Callaghan recorded four scores, while Maddy Paz notched a four-point night with two goals and two assists. Annie Hargraves had a hat trick and Brooke Vinson scored twice. The Buckeyes limited Oregon to 11 shot attempts in the game and led in ground balls (17-7) and draw controls (18-7). Delaney Harlan was first for Ohio State with eight draw controls and Darrien Furiness had a team-best three ground balls, with Audrey Schoemer causing three turnovers.

How it Happened
- A free position goal from Buckeye Brooke Vinson opened the scoring at 13:53.
- Oregon tied the game at 6:52, followed by an 18-goal Buckeye run.
- Camryn Callaghan put the Buckeyes ahead at 5:43 and Maddy Paz set up a Zoe Coleman goal at 1:18 for a 3-1 Buckeye lead after the first quarter.
- Ohio State scored seven times in the second quarter and led 10-1 at halftime.
- Coleman set up Callaghan at 12:23 and then scored a goal of her own on an assist from Kate Tyack at 11:19. Â
- Annie Hargraves scored two of the next three, assisted by Isabelle Osborn and Tyack, sandwiched around a Tyack goal.
- Tyack found Coleman for a score at 4:36 and Maddy Paz had the last goal of the half less than a minute later.
- The Buckeye run continued through the third quarter, with Ohio State outscoring Oregon, 6-0.
- Maeve Simonds intercepted a pass and set up Paz at 11:13 before three consecutive unassisted goals by Callaghan, Vinson and Tyack.
- Tyack set up a Coleman player down goal at 2:06 and Paz found Osborn for a player-up tally with 28 seconds on the clock.
- The Buckeyes scored the first three goals of the fourth quarter. Kampbell Stone set up Tyack, Hargraves scored her third of the game and Coleman found Callaghan at 8:52 for a 19-1 lead.
- Oregon tallied for the first time in 43 minutes at 4:09 and Buckeye Olivia Orso closed out the scoring with 41 seconds remaining.
- Ohio State limited Oregon to 11 shots and attempted 33, putting 29 on goal. Buckeye starter Jocelyn Torres had four saves on five shots in 51:31 and Camille Samarasinghe had two stops on three shots in 8:29. Two Duck goalies combined for nine saves.
- The Buckeyes recorded 16 of 23 draw controls in the game. Delaney Harland had eight, with Stone recorded three and Callaghan two.
- Ohio State led in ground balls, 17-7. Darrien Furiness was first with three and Simonds and Stone each had two.
- The Buckeyes were perfect on clears (19-of-19) and limited Oregon to 12-of-17.

- Tyack matched her career best with seven points (first set Feb. 16 at Cincinnati), with her 14th career game with at least three goals and her third game with four or more assists. She extended her point streak to 17 with 42 goals and 60 points in the stretch. She has a team-best and career-high 17 assists and 47 points on the year, ranking second with 30 goals. Tyack has 118 points as a Buckeye (88 g, 30a)
- Callaghan is first on the squad with 32 goals and second with 41 points after her third game as a Buckeye with four or more goals. She now has 227 career points (189g, 38a). Callaghan has a point in each of her last 26 games, with a 70-15-81 line in the stretch.
- Harlan's eight draw controls were a career best, topping the five she had vs. Detroit Mercy earlier this year.
- Hargraves marked her eighth career game with three or more goals and her second hat trick of the season.
- Paz, with two goals and two assists, now has nine multiple-point games this year, with six outings with three or more. She is third on the team with 18 goals and 32 points and second with 14 assists.
- Vinson marked her third career multiple-goal outing. She has a career-best 13 goals and 16 points on the year.
- Schoemer matched her career high, set twice before, with three caused turnovers.
