- The No. 25 Ohio State women's lacrosse team hits the road for a noon game at No. 8 Johns Hopkins Sunday at Homewood Field in Baltimore.Â
- The game will be televised by ESPNU. Live statistics will be available on OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
- Ohio State is 6-3 on the year (1-1 B1G) and coming off a 9-8 home loss to Rutgers Thursday. Johns Hopkins is 9-1 (2-0 B1G) and topped USC 20-5 Thursday at home.Â
- The series between Ohio State and Johns Hopkins dates to 2002, with the teams first competing as conference foes in the American Lacrosse Conference before the Big Ten began sponsoring women's lacrosse in 2016, adding JHU as an affiliate member.
- Last season, Johns Hopkins was a 16-6 winner over Ohio State in Columbus April 10, 2025. The last meeting between the teams in Baltimore was a 15-5 win by the Blue Jays March 23, 2024.
- The Blue Jays average 14.9 goals a game to rank 12th nationally in scoring offese and allow 9.4 goals per outing. The squad is second in the NCAA in caused turnovers per game (15.0) and sixth in shooting percentage (.514).
- Ava Angello is seventh nationally in goals per game (3.9) and ninth in points per game (5.6). Reagan O'Brien is first in the NCAA with 4.22 caused turnovers per game, with Lacey Downey eighth (3.0). Taylor Hoss is 19th in the country with 2.6 assists per game.Â
- For the second year in a row, Buckeye goalie Jocelyn Torres has been named to the watch list for the Tewaaraton Award.Â
- This year, she has started all nine games for the Buckeyes, with 68 saves (10.10 goals-against average, .450 save percentage).
- Torres has 61 collegiate games played (all starts), posting a 10.46 gaa and .457 sv%. Â
- She matched her career best with 14 saves at Louisville Feb. 10 in a double overtime win and had 12 saves in the Buckeyes' win at Northwestern last Sunday, tied for the fourth-most in her collegiate career.
- Torres picked up a career-high tying six ground balls Thursday vs. Rutgers.

- The Buckeyes entered the IWLCA rankings at No. 25 this week and are No. 24 in the IL Women poll.Â
- Ohio State is 22nd in the NCAA in scoring offense, with 14.22 goals per game and 16 or more in four of the last five outings.
- The Buckeyes were held to a season-low eight goals Thursday vs. Rutgers.Â
- Ohio State is averaging 9.78 goals allowed per game, giving up 10 or less in seven outings.Â
- So far this season, the Buckeyes are averaging 28.2 shots on goal a game and holding opponents to 23.7 per outing. Ohio State is 10th nationally in shooting percentage (.504) and is averaging 21.3 shots on goal a game.
- Ohio State is 15th in the NCAA in free position percentage, converting 56.1 percent of its chances. Â
- The win at then-No. 4 Northwestern Sunday was the Buckeyes' first over a top 10 team since a 16-13 victory at No. 9 Penn State April 9, 2016, with Ohio State ranked 12th at the time. It was the first win over a team ranked in the top 5 since an unranked Ohio State squad beat No. 4 Northwestern in overtime 11-10 March 9, 2014.
Buckeye This and That
- Senior transfer Camryn Callaghan is first on the squad with 25 goals and second with 34 points, ranking third with nine assists. She has a team-high nine player-up scores. Â
- Callaghan had a hat trick vs. Rutgers to move her career total to 220 points (182g, 38a). She has a point in each of her last 24 games, with a 63-15-78 line in the stretch. Callaghan ranks sixth among current NCAA players in career goals and ninth in points.Â
- This year, she is tied for third nationally in free position goals per game (1.00). She has converted 62.5 percent of her free position opportunities.Â
- Callaghan is tied with Darrien Furiness for second on the team with 15 ground balls, behind Jocelyn Torres with 17.
- Furiness, a senior, has started all nine games this season after playing in nine games the last three years combined. Â
- Junior Kate Tyack leads the Buckeyes with 35 points, ranking second with 24 goals and 11 assists. She has multiple points in eight of nine games this season, with multiple assists in four games and multiple goals in six. Tyack, who had a career-high six goals at Northwestern, now has 82 goals and 106 points in her Buckeye career. Â She is on 15-game goal and point streaks, with 36 goals and 49 points in the stretch. Tyack has three of the Buckeyes' six gamewinning goals this year.
- Sophomore Abby Boyle, who was first on the team with 50 draw controls last year, had a program-record 16 against Detroit Mercy Feb. 27. The program record had been 13, set three times prior, with the last March 10, 2022 by Chloe Johnson. Boyle now leads the Buckeyes with 50 draw controls and has five or more in six of the last seven games. She is the 12th Buckeye with at least 100 draw controls in her career.
- Maddy Paz had a career-high seven points, with a hat trick and career-high tying four assists, at Northwestern last Sunday. She was held scoreless for the first time in eight games vs. Rutgers after seven consecutive multiple point outings. Paz has 15 goals and a team-best 12 assists for 27 points through nine games this year, ranking third on the team in goals and points, after a six-goal season as a freshman last year.
- Senior Brooke Vinson has a goal in seven of nine games this season, including her first career hat trick vs. Vanderbilt, and has a career-high nine goals and 12 points. She played in six games and had three points (1g, 2a) over the last three years.
- Kampbell Stone has 12 goals on the year, with at least one score in seven of nine games. She is second on the team with eight caused turnovers, behind Lindsey McCulloch with nine. Â
- Zoe Coleman is nearing the 100 point mark for her career with 65 goals and 24 assists for 89 points.Â
- Hargraves, Torres and Stone were selected the Buckeyes' team captains for this season.
- Callaghan, Torres and Tyack were named to the Big Ten Players to Watch list entering the year.
