
Ohio State to Open Outdoor Season at USF Alumni Invitational

The Buckeyes will compete at their first outdoor meet of the season
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team travels to Tampa, Fla., this weekend for the USF Alumni Invitational. The Buckeyes' first outdoor meet of the season will be held at the USF Track & Field Stadium Friday and Saturday and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Friday's action begins at 10 a.m. with the men's javelin competition, while Saturday's schedule commences with the women's portion of the Don Marsh Pole Vault Invite set to start at 10 a.m.

- Ohio State ended last year's outdoor season by sending athletes to the NCAA Championships in 11 different events. Nine of the Buckeyes who participated in last year's championships have returned to Ohio State to compete again this season.
- At the 2025 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the Buckeye men placed 10th after earning 33 points and saw Noah Carmichael, Mason Louis, Braxton Brann and Edidiong Udo become Big Ten Champions in the men's 4x400m relay. The Buckeye women earned 20 points and placed 13th at the championships.
- Seven Buckeyes earned USTFCCCA All-American honors for their performances at last weekend's NCAA Indoor Championships. Carmichael, Louis, Brann and Damon Frabotta were named First-Team All-Americans after placing eighth in the men's 4x400m relay. Aniya Mosley (women's 800m), DJ Fillmore (men's long jump) and Udo (men's 400m) were named Second-Team All-Americans in their respective events.
- At the conclusion of the conference championships weekend, Ohio State had seven entries listed inside the top 25 of the TFFRS rankings. Mosley ranked 13th in the women's 800m and 16th in the women's one mile. Fillmore ranked third in the men's long jump, Udo 17th in the men's 400m and Brann was 19th in the men's 60m hurdles. The Buckeyes had two men's 4x400m relay squads ranked inside the top 25 as Carmichael, Louis, Brann and Udo had the 11th best time in the country, while Carmichael, Louis, Brann and Frabotta ranked 21st.
