Ohio State returns home for next three games
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's lacrosse team wrapped up a stretch of three straight road games with a loss at No. 1 North Carolina, 22-9, Friday afternoon in Chapel Hill., N.C. Ohio State is now 2-2 on the year, with the Tar Heels. 3-0. UNC was ahead 7-1 after the first quarter and 13-5 at the half en route to the victory.

Kampbell Stone led the Buckeyes with three goals, along with a ground ball and two draw controls. Maddy Paz and Camryn Callaghan each scored twice, Kate Tyack had three points with a goal and two assists and Abby Boyle had a career-high nine draw controls in the game. Jocelyn Torres made nine saves vs. the Tar Heels.

- North Carolina scored in the first minute of the game on a free position shot.
- Buckeye Camryn Callaghan answered with a free position goal of her own at 12:40.
- The Tar Heels scored six times before the end of the quarter, including three goals from Chloe Humphrey.
- Ohio State notched the first two goals of the second quarter. Kate Tyack set up Kampbell Stone 16 seconds into the stanza, followed by an unassisted Maddy Paz tally less than a minute later.
- After a three-goal UNC run, Stone converted a free position chance. With the Buckeyes player up, Kate Tyack fed Callaghan for a score.
- UNC notched three goals before halftime for a 13-5 lead and tallied the first five of the third quarter to stretch the advantage to 18-5.
- A three-goal Ohio State run followed. Paz scored at 4:49 and Tyack notched the last goal of the quarter at 2:21.
- Buckeye Brooke Vinson came across and scored to start the scoring in the fourth.
- The Tar Heels scored four of the game's last five goals.
- Stone drove the cage and beat her defender for a score, marking the Buckeyes' last tally.
