Buckeyes Set for Two Home Games this Weekend

Ohio State hosts Detroit Mercy Friday, Robert Morris Sunday
The Basics
- The Ohio State women's lacrosse team returns home to host two games this weekend.
- The Buckeyes will take on Detroit Mercy at 3 p.m. Friday and Robert Morris at noon Sunday.Â
- Both games will be in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium. Admission and parking are free.
- Friday there will be free hot chocolate for the first 100 fans. Sunday is Dog Day. (Dog Day waiver and information)Â
- The games will be streamed through B1G+ and live statistics will be available through OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
- Ohio State is 2-2 on the year after a loss at No. 1 North Carolina last Friday. The Titans are 0-2 and fell at Canisius Tuesday. The Colonials have a 2-3 ledger and dropped a game to St. Bonaventure Wednesday.
- Ohio State is 8-0 all-time vs. Detroit Mercy, with the last matchup a 19-5 Buckeye win at home Feb. 10, 2019.
- The teams first faced off in 2009, with six of the eight games in the series in Columbus.
- The Titans started the year with a loss to Butler and fell to Canisius in their last time out.
- The Buckeyes are 10-0 in the series vs. Robert Morris. This is the fifth year in a row the teams are facing off.Â
- Last season, Ohio State won 15-5 on the road against the Colonials. The series dates to 2006, with Ohio State 8-0 at home vs. Robert Morris.
- Robert Morris has wins over George Mason and Duquesne this year, with losses to Canisius, Cincinnati and St. Bonaventure.

- For the second year in a row, Buckeye goalie Jocelyn Torres has been named to the watch list for the Tewaaraton Award.Â
- This year, she has started all four games for the Buckeyes, with 34 saves (12.76 goals-against average, .391 save percentage).
- Torres has 56 collegiate starts, with a 10.70 gaa and .452 sv%. Â
- She matched her career best with 14 saves at Louisville Feb. 10 in a double overtime win and had nine saves at North Carolina last week.
- Ohio State wrapped up a stretch of three straight road games and now is home for three games in a row. The road games included a double overtime win at Louisville Feb. 10, a 19-8 victory at Cincinnati Feb. 16 and a 22-9 loss at North Carolina last Friday.Â
- Senior transfer Camryn Callaghan scored six goals in the win at Cincinnati Feb. 16 to reach the 200-point mark for her collegiate career. She scored twice at UNC and now has 169 goals and 34 assists for 203 points in her collegiate career. She ranks sixth among current NCAA players in career goals and ninth in points.
- Callaghan is first on the team with 12 goals and ranks second with 17 points. She is on a 19-game point streak and has a 50-11-61 line in the 19 games combined.Â
- Junior Kate Tyack leads the Buckeyes with nine assists and 18 Â points on the year, ranking second with nine goals. She had a goal and two assists against the Tar Heels and has multiple points in all four games this season, with multiple assists in three. Tyack had a career-best five assists and seven points at Cincinnati.Â
- She is on 10-game goal and point streaks, with 21 goals and 30 points in the stretch.
- Tyack has both gamewinning goals this season, including the double OT winner at Louisville.Â
- Kampbell Stone had her fourth career hat trick and sixth game with at least three goals last time out. She also had two draw controls, a ground ball and a caused turnover in the game at UNC.
- Abby Boyle, who was first on the team with 50 draw controls last year, had a career-high nine at North Carolina last week. She has 16 this year to lead the Buckeyes.
- Maddy Paz had a second straight two-goal game, the fourth of her career, against the Tar Heels. She had a personal-best two assists and three points at Louisville and now has five goals, two assists and seven point this year for a career high. Â
- Sophomore Lindsey McCulloch paces the Buckeyes with seven caused turnovers, including three at Louisville and two at Cincinnati.
- Hargraves, Jocelyn Torres and Stone were selected the Buckeyes' team captains for this season.
