COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, Mass., and the Tiger Paw Invitational at Clemson, S.C., today.

DJ Fillmore recorded a career best in the men's long jump at the Tiger Paw Invitational, winning the event after clearing a distance of 8.00m/26"3.00'. His personal record mark ties him for the third best performing individual in the event in program history. Sophie Fong also turned in her best performance of the year for the Buckeyes in Clemson. The senior won the women's pole vault competition after clearing a season best 3.97m/13"1.25".

Tomorrow's action will commence with the women's distance medley relay starting at 9 a.m. at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. Day two at the Tiger Paw Invitational will begin at 9 a.m. with the women's high jump competition.

Men's 60m: Kyler Brown (6.65), Nazzio John (6.71) and Marcus Brown Jr. (6.74) all qualified for the event semifinals.
Women's 400m: Freshman Tianna Spinks (53.13) placed 17^th out of 66 competitors in her first attempt at the 400m.
Men's 400m: Edidiong Udo recorded a time of 45.65 and finished sixth.

Women's Pole Vault: Fong won the event after clearing 3.97m/13"1.25", Nicole Grimes placed third with a season best mark of 3.82m/12'6.25" and Veronica Waugman earned a personal best (3.67m/12'6.00").
Men's Weight throw: Jack Knapke recorded a personal best mark of 19.30m/63'4.00" and placed sixth.
Women's Weight throw: Sophie Bidwell recorded a 18.58m/60'11.50" and took fifth place while Morgan Hallet registered a PR 18.21m/59'9.00" throw and finished eighth.
Men's Long Jump: DJ Fillmore won the event with a PR of 8.00m/26'3.00", his third event win of the season.
Women's Shot Put: Kamille Smith (14.67m/47'9.25") placed fifth and Hallet (14.56m/47'9.00") placed sixth.
