Mosley Sets Program Record to Round Out Weekend

The Buckeyes competed at two meets this weekend.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, Mass., and the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, S.C., this weekend.
Aniya Mosley set her third program record of the season at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. Participating in the women's one mile invite run, the senior recorded a time of 4:28.30 to pass Julia Rizk for the fastest performance in school history. Rizk, the 2019 NCAA Indoor Women's One Mile Champion, held the record with a time of 4:32:79 recorded at the 2019 Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships. Mosley had previously recorded program records in the 800m (2:02.20) and 1000m (2:42.87) this season.

- Men's 200m: Nick Biega finished fifth with a time of 20.85, while Dominic Calhoun registered a personal best 20.89 and placed seventh.
- Women's 800m: Naomi Clarke finished 10th out of 187 competitors participating in the event, crossing the line in 2:08.15.
- Women's Mile: Mosley crossed the line in 4:28.30 to secure an eleventh-place finish along with a personal and program record.
- Men's 60m: Kyler Brown (6.65), Nazzio John (6.71) and Marcus Brown Jr. (6.74) all qualified for the event semifinals.
- Women's 400m: Freshman Tianna Spinks (53.13) placed 17th out of 66 competitors in her first attempt at the 400m.
- Men's 400m: Edidiong Udo recorded a time of 45.65 and finished sixth.

- Women's Triple Jump: Morgan Bridges recorded a career best distance of 12.49m/41'9.25' and placed fifth.
- Men's Pole Vault: Bailey Fletcher took home third place in the open competition after clearing a PR 4.80m/15'9.00". Daniel Edwards placed fifth in the invite group with 5.05m/16'6.75".
Friday, February 13
- Women's Pole Vault: Sophie Fong won the event after clearing 3.97m/13"1.25", Nicole Grimes placed third with a season best mark of 3.82m/12'6.25" and Veronica Waugaman earned a personal best (3.67m/12'6.00").
- Men's Weight throw: Jack Knapke recorded a personal best mark of 19.30m/63'4.00" and placed sixth.
- Women's Weight throw: Sophie Bidwell recorded a 18.58m/60'11.50" and took fifth place while Morgan Hallet registered a PR 18.21m/59'9.00" throw and finished eighth.
- Men's Long Jump: DJ Fillmore won the event with a PR of 8.00m/26'3.00", his third event win of the season.
- Women's Shot Put: Kamille Smith (14.67m/47'9.25") placed fifth and Hallet (14.56m/47'9.00") placed sixth.
The Buckeyes will be back in action February 26 for the Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
